Naviance Researching SuperMatch College Search- size, location, majors, althletics Admissions information- SAT/ACT, GPA Direct link to college websites Prep-Me - free ACT/SAT test prep Document Library Transcript release- necessary to send out a transcript Recommendation forms- teacher, parent, counselor Helpful websites scholarships/financial aid

Students can meet with counselors for suggestions on which visits to attend They should come to visits prepared with questions

Naviance College Tab: Students can view the date their supporting documents have been sent to schools Students request their teacher recommendations Teacher recommendations are uploaded Progress of teacher recommendations can be viewed Acceptances can be recorded and celebrated!!
The Do s and Don ts of Parenting a High School Senior
Parents Role Senior Year THE DON TS: Do not fill out applications for your son or daughter Do not write their essays Do not Nag REMEMBER - You are not the one going to college!
Parents Role Senior Year THE DO s: DO take your son or daughter on campus visits Create a calendar WITH your son or daughter Do the clerical work-keep track of dates, organizing files and papers, provide a gentle reminder about appointments and deadlines Get your pin for FAFSA now and be ready to fill out form in January and /or create CSS profile Teach your son or daughter how to do laundry and how to cook Make sure test scores are sent
This is the time to teach your son or daughter to hold their own reins: morally financially and even clerically!
Every journey begins with the first step.
