Learn how to design intentional situations for children to solve problems as they explore math, science, literacy and everyday relationships in meaningful ways. Level 3, CDA Subject Area T Jan. 19 6:30-8:30 p.m. Healthy Sexual Development in Children When children act out sexually or have questions about bodies, babies and more, many adults are not equipped to respond. Address normal sexual development in children, how to talk with children about their growing bodies and assist them in safety and esteem. You must attend both sessions to receive credit. You will learn the elements of mathematical thinking for children and discover what kinds of materials to include in their classroom environments, as well as what kinds of games challenge children s thinking. Explore how to help children create mathematical relationships out of real-life problems. Learn ideas for teaching quantification, patterns, seriation, geometry and spatial sense, as well as measurement.
