3 Intellex 4.3 patch 7 update Release Ntes Cmpsite Mnitr GUI Descriptin What s new in This Release In the current release f 4.3, the cmpsite mnitr is autmatically disabled. T enable it, the user had t exit the Intellex applicatin and access a cnfiguratin GUI via a shrtcut n the desktp. Users required a way t access and change these settings frm Intellex s that they culd enable the cmpsite mnitr withut having t stp. Access t this feature can be btained by: Figure 1 - Cmpsite Mnitr tab Select Setup n the main screen, Select Display Select the Cmpsite mnitr tab, shwn in Figure 1. NOTE: This feature will nly be accessible n Intellex Ultra s and DVMS s capable f supprting 4.3 Patch 7 hardware requirements. 3

4 Intellex 4.3 patch 7 update Release Ntes Functinality Nte: Enable Cmpsite mnitr When cmpsite mnitr is enabled live vide will be displayed n the analg mnitr. If disabled, analg mnitr will display a grey screen. Fr further details n cmpsite mnitr cnfiguratin refer t the Intellex user manual. Enable Overlay When enabled verlay is displayed n the analg mnitr. If disabled, n verlay will be shwn n the analg mnitr. NOTE, n Intellex Ultra the verlay will always be enabled. Playback t Mnitr When enabled, if the user selects playback n the Intellex main screen, the playback vide will be displayed n the analg mnitr. If disabled n playback vide will be shwn n the analg mnitr, nly live vide will be displayed. Activity Lgging When the Cmpsite mnitr tab has been selected, activity lgging will be generated stating that this feature has been accessed. When changes have been made and the Ok buttn pressed, activity lgging will be generated stating that this feature has been mdified and will specify what has been mdified. The Cmpsite Mnitr cnfiguratin shrtcut n the desktp has been remved, therefre this feature is nly accessible via the Intellex applicatin. Intellex and Netwrk Client IPS cnfiguratin GUI Currently, the maximum IPS rate between Intellex and the Netwrk Client/API applicatin is nt cnfigurable; hwever it is influenced by the cnfigured maximum recrd rate. On the current Intellex 4.3 release, the maximum recrd rates n Intellex are as shwn in Table 1 Ultra DVMS LT 1CIF 480IPS 1CIF 480IPS 1CIF 480IPS 2CIF 480IPS 2CIF 480IPS 2CIF 240IPS 4CIF 480IPS 4CIF 240IPS 4CIF 120IPS Table 1 Intellex maximum recrd rates When Netwrk Client is being used ver a lw bandwidth envirnment, a high maximum IPS rate can cause issues e.g. vide latency, especially when using camera cntrl (high mtin). Having the IPS rate per camera between Intellex and Netwrk Client cnfigurable allws the user t easily match the IPS rate with their envirnment. 4

5 Intellex 4.3 patch 7 update Release Ntes Descriptin Access t this feature can be btained by: Functinality On Intellex Figure 2 IPS cnfiguratin Select Setup n main screen, Select Rate Select the Live Vide Bandwidth tab as shwn in Figure 2. On Netwrk Client Select the Intellex unit icn Select Unit Setup Select Rate n the tlbar Nte: This feature will nly be accessible n Intellex units with 4.3 Patch 7 installed. Max Live Vide Frames This functinality permits cnfiguratin f frames per camera. If the Intellex s vide type is PAL, then the Maximum slider value is 25 frames per secnd (400 IPS when multiplied by 16 cameras), if the vide type is NTSC the maximum slider value will be 30 frames per secnd, (480 IPS when multiplied by 16 cameras). When the slider is changed the value will be displayed in the label (shwn as 25 in the Figure 2). When the OK buttn is pressed, the slider value will be saved and the new value used. Activity Lgging When the Live Vide Bandwidth tab has been selected, activity lgging will be generated stating that this feature has been accessed. When a change has been made and the Ok buttn pressed, activity lgging will be generated stating that this feature has been mdified and will specify what the new value is. 5

6 Intellex 4.3 patch 7 update Release Ntes Reslutin GUI between Intellex and NC Descriptin In all current versins f Netwrk Client, it is nt pssible t request the specific reslutin (1CIF/2CIF/4CIF) f the live display images frm Intellex. Making this value cnfigurable wuld enable custmers t cnfigure the reslutin apprpriate t their envirnment (e.g. lw bandwidth). Access t this feature can be btained by: Functinality On Netwrk Client Select Live Camera Defaults frm the Setting menu Intellex Reslutins This feature allws users t change the reslutins fr the different mdes pssible n Netwrk Client (e.g. 1x1, 2x2, 3x3 and 4x4). When reslutins have been selected, and implemented by selecting OK, live vide view will return in the default 2x2 mde. The fllwing pints highlight what the reslutins mean:- Default reslutins The default reslutins set fr each mde are: 1x1 = 640x240 (2CIF), 2x2 = 320x240 (CIF), 3x3 = 214x160 4x4 = 160x120 (Q CIF). Reslutin ranges The reslutins pssible are: Aut 6

Any f these reslutins will be accepted and used by all vide mdes n Netwrk Client. Aut reslutin Will calculate the best reslutin, based n live vide windw size. Windws 7 supprt shall be prvided fr the fllwing:- Brwser Client - Installed n Windws 7 variants - Prfessinal 32-bit / 64-bit, Enterprise 32-bit / 64-bit and Ultimate 32-bit / 64-bit. Plicy Manager Installed n Windws Server 2003 r 2008 where Netwrk Client is installed n Windws 7 variants - Prfessinal 32-bit / 64-bit, Enterprise 32-bit / 64-bit and Ultimate 32-bit / 64-bit. Archive Manager - Installed n Windws Server 2003 r 2008 where Netwrk Client is installed n Windws 7 variants - Prfessinal 32-bit / 64-bit, Enterprise 32-bit / 64-bit and Ultimate 32-bit / 64-bit. 7
