When creating this catalogue we relied on the most frequently asked questions of our customers. To help speed up the evaluation process we filled in the information regarding the Astaro Mail Archiving service. You decide on storage periods for yourself and you even may define longer or shorter periods for certain s by default settings. As the storage period does not imply further cost you may archive s forever without incurring internal efforts. As soon as the defined storage period ends all s are deleted automatically. There are no manual steps involved. Astaro Mail Archiving requires only licenses for those inboxes which need to be archived. Storage capacity and period are included. It s all transparent without further, volume dependent cost.

How can you and your colleagues access archived (separate interface, integrated into mailbox, how easy-touse?) Does the product allow you to transfer single s into your mailbox and then process them like a normal ? Who has access to which Is there a possibility to search all mailboxes for Are these processes logged? The Outlook plug-in even integrates archive searches directly into your own mailbox. It makes searches as easy and self-explaining as writing an . Having the Outlook plug-in installed all archived s can be displayed within your Outlook mailbox. Just as usual you can reply, forward or transfer them to a different folder. By default, every user only sees his/her personal s. Of course it is possible to grant access to public inboxes or aliases. There is also an audit function enabling searches over all archived s. New users are conveniently activated within the administration portal. Whether PST folder or mailbox: Importing existing s is very easy without limitation on storage capacity or the number of archived (or imported) s. There are two options when exporting the archive: either download all s or receive an encrypted hard drive image in standard format (RFC822) on request.
