2 01 Submit Your Website To Search Engines Though just creating a website is a big step in the right direction when promoting your local business online, attracting customers still depends on where your site appears on a search results page. Which websites viewers see first when searching for a product or service determines an incredible amount of business in your area. To ensure that your business doesn't sit unnoticed on page 3, submit your website (using an XML sitemap) to large search engines like Google and Bing so that your site will be more effectively indexed for rankings.
