College of Arts and Science Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)
Oakland University Undergraduate Research Research participation by undergraduates is a distinctive part of Oakland University's research opportunities. Many of our students work with departmental faculty in their laboratories, carrying out research projects at the forefront of scientific research. Undergraduates often publish their research in national and international peer reviewed journals as well as present work at national meetings of scientific societies.
As future Oakland University students, you may be eligible to apply for several fellowships as part of your academic advancement.
Summer Undergraduate Research Programs A unique opportunity to conduct independent research projects under the guidance of a faculty mentor Provides a worthwhile research experience Provides an extremely valuable addition to the student's education Generates important new results in science
Summer Undergraduate Research Programs Research is offered in several scientific disciplines (chemistry, biochemistry, biology, biomedical, and physics) Takes place in spring/summer sessions between May and August 10 to12 week fellowships $3,500 - $4000 stipends All require applicant s GPA to be 3.0 or above
