3 About New England Fertility New England Fertility offers a wide variety of infertility treatments to individuals and couples struggling to conceive, including in vitro fertilization, commonly known as IVF. New England Fertility was founded in 1991 by Dr. Gad Lavy with the goal of providing state-of-the-art fertility treatment to couples and individuals. Then, as now, New England Fertility s mission has been to provide the best fertility care possible. We understand that every patient and couple are unique and deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. At the forefront of fertility care for 20 years, NEF has pioneered several innovative fertility therapies, such as intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD), and egg freezing. We also have one of the largest egg donor and gestational surrogacy programs in Connecticut and were awarded the 2007 Gold Connecticut Quality Improvement Award for achieving the first frozen egg pregnancy in the state. Today, New England Fertility has three offices, in Stamford, Hamden, and Shelton, Connecticut. The practice also includes the only cord blood bank in the State of Connecticut, LifeLine Cryogenics. 5 5 Practice Overview Our Team New England Fertility s medical director is Dr. Gad Lavy, who served on the medical faculty of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Yale University School of Medicine, where he was also the director of Yale s program for assisted reproduction. Working with Dr. Lavy is a team of highly skilled clinicians, nurses, scientists, and support staff, many with over 20 years experience. Their mission: to deliver the best care possible. Fertility Treatment at New England Fertility New England Fertility offers the full range of fertility treatments, ranging from ovulation therapy to in vitro fertilization (IVF) to egg donation and gestational surrogacy. Sperm and egg freezing and gender selection are also offered. The fertility journey at NEF begins with a meeting with Dr. Lavy. Patients then go through a thorough medical/infertility evaluation, which is followed by a customized diagnosis and treatment plan designed to meet the specific needs of each patient. In addition, New England Fertility offers psychological counseling and other wellness services to individuals and couples, because we recognize and understand the emotional toll associated with going through fertility treatment and want to make the experience as stress free as possible.
