2 CBU S MA IN FORENSIC PSYCHOLOGY PROGRAM PREPARES STUDENTS WITH THE PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS OF FORENSIC PSYCHOLOGY, BIBLICAL UNDERSTANDING OF CRIMINAL PSYCHOLOGY AND THE APPLICATIONS OF PSYCHOLOGY AND LAW. The MA in Forensic Psychology program balances theory, research and practice that are designed to advance student knowledge and skills needed for professional development and career advancement.

3 PROGRAM OVERVIEW One of the few programs of its kind in the country, the Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology from CBU prepares professionals qualified to provide critical psychological services to the criminal justice system. The program provides students with an advanced and comprehensive understanding of human development, the biological nature of crime, psychopathology, psychology and law and criminal profiling. Graduates come away with the interdisciplinary knowledge to shape laws and policies that reflect human behavior. Students also develop an understanding of research methodology and its application to forensic psychology. MASTER OF ARTS IN FORENSIC PSYCHOLOGY Forensic Psychology classes are scheduled to allow working professionals the opportunity to pursue their education and career advancement. Classes focus on the theories of crime, psychology and law, ethics, criminal investigation, evaluation and adjudication of criminal offenders, memory and perception in the courtroom and criminal profiling. In the second year of study, students are involved in field experience and on-site supervision in a forensic setting within the criminal justice system. This may include working in victim advocacy, jails, prisons, trial consultant firms, conflict resolution and mediation, rape crisis centers, probation, or parole.

4 GRADUATES WILL Attain a thorough understanding of the intersection between law and psychology. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the genesis of psychopathology and criminal behavior. Be able to apply Christian values and principles to victim advocacy and offender rehabilitation. QUICK LOOK Program length: 57-units, 6 semesters full-time, part time options available. Program cost: $630 per unit, plus fees Program starts: Fall (September), Spring (January), Summer (May). Application completion deadline: 30 days prior to the start of the desired semester of enrollment. Program format: Classes typically offered weekday evenings at 4 pm and/or 7 pm.
