2 From 1975 to 1980, head educator for a group of minors from disadvantaged families in Cuneo, Italy She taught on Refresher Courses for Nursery School teachers and at the School of Social Services of Cuneo. From 1980 to 2004 she coordinated the voluntary workers at the Piccola Casa della Divina Provvidenza (Little House of Divine Providence) also known as the Cottolengo, a charitable institute for the needy in Turin; She organised annual training courses, and organised the Turin-based Association of Volunteers of the Cottolengo (1200 members) She also fostered the establishment of the Territorial Sections of the same association in 22 branches of the Cottolengo in 12 Italian Provinces; From 1993 to 1996 under the Arcobaleno (Rainbow) programme, she performed voluntary work and assisted in the rehabilitation of young drug-addicted inmates in Lorusso e Cotugno Prison, Turin. 3 Ecuador: Quito and Esmeraldas; United States of America: Miami; Romania: Iasi San Salvador (on behalf of Zero-Cinque) In 1996, with a number of lay people, she founded the Association ZERO-CINQUE, registered on 12 th December No Deeds Office, whose aim is to set up centres of child and family development in the Usulutan area of El Salvador where groups of former Honduran refugee camp inhabitants have settled, for the most part women and children. The association, with the aid of an Italian operator in situ, organised and carried out the construction of a nursery school in the Nuevo Gualcho region of El Salvador; at the same time it developed a basic permanent training programme for educators, in collaboration with teachers from the UCA (University of Central America). The educators, all of whom female, come from the refugee group. The association connected the village to a mains drinking water supply channelling the water from the river to the village, stimulating the creation of a microeconomy (bakery, pizzeria) run by women.
