ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR SENIOR COLLEGE PROGRAM About the Program Effective Fall 2009, college C.P.A. programs registered with the New York State Education Department must offer a curriculum consisting of a minimum of 150 credit hours. In line with this change, since Fall 2009, the Department of Economics and Business offers, in addition to the B.S. in Accounting, an M.S. in Accounting program for those students who choose to take the additional 0 credits toward this graduate degree. However, specific admission requirements are in place to gain admittance to the M.S. in Accounting program. All students are admitted to this major on a provisional basis. To maintain matriculation, the enrollees must attain a minimum cumulative index of 2.7 (B-) in the first four ACC-prefixed courses. Students who fail to fulfill this condition will be removed from the BS in Accounting program. These students cannot switch to BBA. However, they may switch to BA in Economics or BA in Accounting. These students may also count the previously taken ACC-prefixed courses toward a minor in Accounting. Admissions and Applications Application Deadlines: Spring Admissions-September 15, Fall Admissions-February 1 CUNY Transfer Application is available online at CUNY Application Processing Center: CUNY Progression at Lehman To earn a Bachelor s Degree at Lehman College, CUNY Associate Degree graduates need to:! complete the courses required for the major/minor! two LEH upper-division interdisciplinary courses! two writing intensive course! elective courses if needed. Determination of the Liberal Arts credits required for the baccalaureate degree in accordance with New York State Education Department requirements will be made by Lehman College. Associate in Science Degree from Bronx Community College. Bronx Community College graduates with the Associate Degree in Business Administration-Accounting Option will receive 60 credits toward the Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Herbert H. Lehman College. Total transfer credits granted toward the baccalaureate degree: 60 Total additional credits required at the senior college to complete baccalaureate degree: 60 1

WRITING INTENSIVE Students are required to complete two writing intensive courses. Individual sections of LEH courses may be designated as writing intensive and these sections would count toward both requirements TOTAL 60

4 E. Articulation Agreement Follow-Up Procedures 1. Procedures for reviewing, up-dating, modifying or terminating agreement: Bronx Community College and Lehman College will review implementation of the agreement every four years to ensure that students are adequately informed of the program and to identify issues requiring attention. 2. Procedures for evaluating agreement, e.g., tracking the number of students who transfer under the articulation agreement and their success: After transfer into the Lehman major, the performance of Bronx Community College students will be tracked using the CUNY Institutional Research Data Base.. Sending and receiving college procedures for publicizing agreement, e.g., college catalogs, transfer advisers, Websites, etc.: Notice of articulation will be placed in the respective catalogues, recruiting brochures, websites, and on the CUNY TIPPS website. Respective transfer and academic advisers will be informed and provided with copies of this agreement. The Lehman Department of Economics and Business will coordinate efforts with Lehman s Admissions Office to make certain that materials are sent with recruitment officers for BCC s biannual Transfer Day event. 4
