Demand/Need for the Program Provide specific information and/or data to support the articulated demand/need for the program There are a number of inter-disciplinary training programs at the graduate level, but few formal opportunities at the undergraduate level for students to be exposed to an interdisciplinary way of approaching a problem. The proposed certificate will provide guidance to students who wish to investigate the mind and the brain in an inter-disciplinary way. 2

Many of the courses are offered each semester, others are offered once a year, and a few are only offered once every 2 years. 4

Facilities and Equipment 11. Program Review, Assessment, Accreditation Additional facilities/equipment required No additional facilities/equipment are required. A representative from LING, PHIL and PSYC will constitute a committee that will conduct an annual program review. 12. Costs, Financing Describe new funding required for this program. Identify only incremental funding in years 2 and 3. What is the source of the new funds? This program requires no additional funds. When completed, this form is to be ed by the College/School Dean to the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, Lawrence Campus.
