3 4C for Children Child Care Resource and Referral Parent Counselors Phone number: (800) (513) Dana Avenue Cincinnati, Ohio Description of services: Child care resource and referral agency for this region, 4C is the hub of information on early care and education programs and the largest provider of training and technical assistance for early childhood care-givers and teachers. 4C assists families, child-care centers, family child care providers and employers. La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed. Requirements for service, if any: Membership is not required. Only women are invited, including pregnant mothers. Children may accompany their mothers, however, it is suggested that they bring their own toys to play with. Mothers may come in late or leave early if necessary.

It provides consultation, intervention and clinical treatment services for children from birth to five years of age and their primary caregivers. Parents receive home visits that focus on positive-parenting, selfsufficiency, child safety, preventative health care and early intervention. Assists new and expectant parents in gaining the parenting skills that promote and enrich their baby s potential. Home visitors also connect mothers with prenatal care and community resources as necessary. Requirements for service, if any: First time moms only Includes Spanish speaking staff

Sessions consist of six weeks of two hour classes.
