Stanisław Gola Karkonosze College of Jelenia Góra PROPOSED THEMATIC SCOPE I. Discussion of pedagogues, sociologists, philosophers on the role of family in upbringing II. The style of upbringing in the family and its changes III. Mother as the guardian of the household fire IV. The changing position of father in the family V. Parents and children about upbringing dialogue or monologue VI. The place of an elderly person in the family TAKING PART IN THE CONFERENCE The intention of the organisers is to present the eponymous dialogue in the families, also those not Polish. Poland as a multicultural country (18 th mid-20 th century) became a place of transgressions of values, customs and traditions. The organisers wish to make this rich and colourful cultural heterogenity a background of consideration of family. We kindly invite all academics and teachers of Universities and Colleges as well as everyone interested in family to take part in the conference. The participants will be able to voice their studies and opinions in family discourse by publishing papers in the following issues of the journal Family Upbringing the electronic version is available on the website: The organisers plan also to publish Book of abstracts of conference papers. To take part of the conference, one needs to send the application and transfer the conference fee to the account of the organiser. The conference fee is paid by all the participants. The organisers provide the conference materials, coffee breaks during proceedings, solemn dinner, accomodation for two nights

3 (after previous reservation by the participants), and most of all publishing in print the best papers in the following volumes of the journal Family Upbringing. PLACE OF THE CONFERENCE Conference will take place on the campus of Karkonosze College in Jelenia Góra, ul. Lwówecka 18. ACCOMODATION Hotel Kryształ in Szklarska Poręba, ul. 1 Maja 19 ( CONFERENCE FEE The fee is 550 PLN. It covers: conference materials, solemn dinner, catering, coffee breaks and accomodation for two nights. Furthermore, the organisers invite everyone for a field trip. Important! A discount only for PhD students, who agree to stay for the night in a nearby hostel: the conference fee for them is 350 PLN. The participants cover the costs of transport to the conference themselves.
