Summary: Using the G.R.E.A.T data (n=3859), 8 th grade gang resistance is examined through attachment theory. Predictors include attachment to parents, attachment to education, proclivity for risk, drug use, high risk deviance (i.e. drug dealing, using firearms against others), and positive peer influence.
