12 Alfa Laval Tank Cleaning Equipment Function of a deck mounted tank cleaning machine The fluid comes from the tank cleaning supply line, into the inlet house, passes through the turbine, turns downwards through the deck into the main pipe and finally exits through the nozzle. The flow spins the turbine which h then drives the cleaning head. Alfa Laval Slide 11

13 Portable Tank Cleaning Machines In order to reach hard to clean areas or to clean tanks where no fixed machines are sold we can also supply portable tank cleaning machines. A portable machine is lowered through the deck on a hose making it possible to clean from any height above the tank bottom. Slide 12

18 Dual and Single Nozzle Benefits Single nozzle: - Helical cleaning pattern - Slower tank coverage - One hit all the time - High impact - Longer throw length - Programmable (Pitch adjustment = Nozzle movement in degrees per revolution) - Variable cleaning time depending on pitch settings and rotation speed of the cleaner nozzle - Spot cleaning and area cleaning possible. Dual nozzle: - Criss-cross cleaning pattern - Fast tank coverage, cycle or complete pattern - Two hits all the time - Less impact - Variable cleaning time depending on rotation speed of the cleaning head - Low total cleaning consumption - Keep the tank sides and bottom under the cleaning hot because of the criss-cross cleaning pattern.
