Presentations and seminars with year olds throughout the UK on substantive legal topics and applications to study law. Groups have ranged in size from 10 to 250. Set up first selective Residential Open Day for Law and one of the first Law Essay Prizes for sixth form students. See also January 2005-present: Sole organiser of workshops and conferences for Unravelling Tort and Crime and Comparing Tort and Crime ( ) and the European Group on Transnational Litigation (2006), and a member of organising committee for the Cambridge-Poitiers Conference (2014), the British Legal History Conference (with John Baker, David Ibbetson, Neil Jones and Isabella Alexander, 2011), Cambridge Legal History Colloquium (2010), six large scale conferences for the European Legal Development Project (with John Bell, David Ibbetson and Colm McGrath, ) and a Poitiers-Cambridge conference in November October 2009-present: PhD Mentor (2 years), now LLM Mentor, Faculty of Law. August 2009-present: Convenor and co-founder of the Comparative Law Discussion Group in the Faculty of Law. Last four years have seen speakers, from England, Germany, Japan, South Africa, Scotland, China, Israel, Italy and Australia. October 2010-present: Cambridge Law Faculty representative, SLS. May 2011-July 2011: Board of Review for PhD thesis, University of Valencia. January-April 2010: Acting Dean (Discipline) of Jesus College, Cambridge. January 2009-July 2011: Secretary and draftsman to the Jesus College Statutes Working Party. Performed a complete redraft within 18 months, after the committee s previous six years of work prior to my arrival and involved covered the law of charities, employment, trusts and contract as well as archival research. The Statutes were brought into force on 1 October October : Senior Treasurer of Jesus College May Ball; founder and convenor of the Cambridge Colleges Senior Treasurers Network. Jesus annual event has a budget of 150,000 and public liability insurance of approaching 10 million. Languages English (native tongue). French (advanced reading, intermediate written and spoken). Spanish (advanced legal Spanish reading, intermediate reading, written and spoken). Portuguese, German (beginner) and Swahili and Latin (lapsed fluency). Other Relevant Skills Admissions: Interviewed in Law for three Cambridge Colleges since Mooting: Student Master of Moots and Varsity Moot team 2004; running mooting at three Colleges since. As of 2013 Mentor to Cambridge teams at the Oxford University French Law Moot (runners-up, 2013). Editing: substantive and copy-editing for German, Spanish and Italian academics at the Universities of Cambridge, Münster, Valencia, and Turin as well as the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg. 5
