3 Introduction The AV equipment in this theatre meets the Colleges desire to provide a standard design of lecture theatre; additionally this room may include lighting, screen and blind controls on the touch panel. Installed Equipment Standard lectern equipment will include: o Control touch screen o Visualiser o Laptop input o DVD player o Resident computer o Keyboard & mouse o Desk microphones o Auxiliary signal inputs Speakers Lapel Microphone Projector
4 Welcome Page All AV functions are controlled by the touch screen. To operate the system, including the computer, touch the screen. If the screen is blank, check the power switch at the bottom right hand side of the screen is turned on. This will then take you to the Start Up Page.
5 Start Up Page Presentation Use (Audio Visual Control) To view a presentation, touch the screen on the left hand side. This will take you to the Main Page. Desktop Computer Preview To use as a computer monitor, touch the right hand side of the screen. This will display your desktop computer. Audio Visual Control Desktop Computer Preview
6 Main Page Source Control Preview Source Help Audio Control System Shut Down Peripheral Control (projector and lighting)
7 Source Control Select a source i.e. PC, laptop, DVD by touching the required icon located at the top of the screen. A pop-up screen will appear in the middle of the monitor for each source selected. Touch the pop-up screen to make it larger and touch again to reduce to its original size.
8 Preview Source To preview a source while the original source is still playing, select the Preview icon. A pop-up screen will appear in the middle of the display. To select a source to view, press the icon e.g. Laptop. To send the previewed source to the projector, select main icon at the top of the screen.
9 Audio Control To alter the volume of the speakers, touch the slider bar in the appropriate place. To mute & un-mute the microphones, press the microphone icon.
10 Peripheral Control Lighting Control To alter the lighting, select the required icon. The brightest icon will switch the lighting to full. Picture On/Off Press relevant icon for a blank screen. Press relevant icon to switch screen on.
11 Shut Down To turn off the system press the Power icon.
12 Are You Sure? To finalise the shut down of equipment, select the Yes Please icon. Please note: you cannot turn the projector on again until it has been allowed to cool down (approx 2 mins).
