You must Include your trainer s UPHA number and owner s Social Security number on your show entry form and also enclose the proper fees with your entry form. Failure to do so could result in disqualification. Stalls (10x10 and have doors) No first bedding: $95.00 Trailer Fee (per day) showing out of trailer: $30.00/day Shavings Ordered on entry form: $8.00 Shavings purchased at the show: $9.00 USEF Fees USEF Show pass fees for non-members $30.00 USEF Drug and Medication Fee ($8 D&M, $8 Fee) $16.00 Office Fee per horse $15.00 Camping (per day) All campers MUST register at show office. $10.00 Unregistered campers will be charged an additional $10 per day Returned Checks $30.00 Refunds: Full refunds will be made only when a veterinarian s certificate is presented before the start of the show. Refunds for entry fees only will be made when said certificate is received after the start of the show. Once the horse is on the show grounds, ONLY the official show veterinarian may issue said certificate. Stall fees will not be refunded after one month prior to the start of the show. Refunds will not be made in the event of inclement weather or other emergency. Scratches: Exhibitors must notify the show office of scratches, one hour before each session. A $25 fee will be assessed to any exhibitor that does not notify the office. Scratches for medical reasons must present a doctor/veterinarian certificate to show office for refunds. Horse Show Office Hours: The horse show office will close one hour before each performance. Entries for classes within a performance should be made prior to that closing. Check posted hours for additional closings. Veteranarians: Will be available for measurements from 8AM to 9AM daily on show days. Exhibitor Parties/Hospitality Welcome Party: Wednesday evening for all exhibitors and grooms. Sponsored by the Morgan Masterpiece Corn Roast: Sponsored by Pine Grove Stables, Thursday evening immediately following the last class of thie evening session. Exhibitor Appreciation Gathering: Friday after last class of the evening session Calcutta Yearling Sweepstakes auction: Friday 5:00 PM. Winner takes half the pot. Coffee and Donuts: Served each morning near the show office

4 Rules and Regulations EVERY CLASS OFFERED HEREIN WHICH IS COVERED BY THE RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CURRENT USEF RULE BOOK WILL BE CONDUCTED AND JUDGED IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH. All questions not covered in these rules and regulations shall be decided by the show management whose decision shall be final. Every horse entered for competition will comply with the rules of the horse show management, but management will, in no case, be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur, and it shall be condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold this horse show and the officials and employees of the show blameless for any loss or accident to his horse, employees, equipment, which may occur from sickness, fire or otherwise. The management reserves the right to refuse, accept conditionally, or to cancel any entries, disqualify any riders or exhibitors, prohibit entries and cancel award prizes without claims for damages; to cancel or combine unfilled classes, or to reschedule classes after due notice to exhibitors; to change rings or rotate judges. Exhibitors are notified that any act of discourtesy or disobedience to the judges or officials, on the part of the owner, manager, rider, or groom shall disqualify the horse, and the owner shall forfeit his entry fee and other fees. Show management reserves to itself the power to prohibit any person from attending or showing a horse in the ring and to remove any groom or horse from the show without being liable for compensation. In accordance with the 1989 Federal Waste Tracking Act, which restricts the disposal of medical waste, biohazardous medical waste containers will be provided in the stable area. All exhibitors and their agents are responsible for the proper disposal of this waste. No person will be allowed in the show ring during the time of judging except the exhibitor and those having official or requested duties to perform. It is the tradition of the show that riders be correctly attired for the class in question, that attendants be neatly dressed and the horses properly presented. Management may in its discretion bar any person from entering the ring if not suitable presented to appear before an audience. Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $30 nonmember registration fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes areclasses limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. EC 7/21/08 Effective 12/1/08 Motorized Vehicle Statement Minors who do not have a valid drivers license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid drivers license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent, guardian or a minor operating a motor vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, Parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exmpl from this rule.

5 Academy classes: Will begin Saturday 1/2 hour after the end of the morning session. AMHA Medal Classes: All AMHA Medal Classes will be judged based on the specifications outlined in rules MO165, MO167, MO168, MO169, MO170, MO171, MO173. Amateur: To enter any amateur class, except class Pro-Am which is also open to Jr. Exhibitors, the entrant must be an adult age 18 and over and must present US Equestrian Federation amateur card. Amateur In Hand: Horse to be handled and shown on a lead by an amateur. Amateur Owned, Trained, and Shown (AOTS): To be eligible for these classes, horses must not have been in training with a professional barn after January 1 st of the current year.. Rider/Driver need not be the owner AOTS Jackpot Championshsip: Winner takes all entry fees. 100% payback of entry fees to the winner of this class. Eligibility: Entry must have shown in one of the following classes to be eligible for this class. Class, 7, 17, 26, 56, 82, 90 or 93. Class will be judged according to the criteria set by each division represented in the ring. Gaits will be called according to the divisions represented in the class. Breeds Eligibility: All breeds are eligible to participate in Carriage classes, Academy, Exhibition Western and Exhibition English Pleasure classes. Championship Eligibility To be eligible to compete in a divisional championship, a horse must have been shown and judged in one other class in that division. For an Amateur Championship, a horse must have been shown in a preliminary by an amateur, for a Junior Exhibitor Championship by a Junior Exhibitor.. Green Horse classes DO qualify for the appropriate championship. Classic Pleasure: Horses may be shown with or without rim pads. The weight of the shoe, including rim pad, must not exceed 16 oz., and the length of toe including shoe and pad must not exceed 4 ½. Cross Entering: Is permissible. All entries must meet USEF shoeing regulations under the Morgan Division English Pleasure, Western Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure & Pleasure Driving: There are no specific shoe weight limits but length of toe must not exceed 5 including pad and shoe. Hunter and Western Type in Hand: Should be shown with tack traditional to the section represented and the handler should dress in proper ring attire. (Western and Hunter Pleasure, are traditionally shown with one handler. To be judged in accordance with AMHA Judging Standards for the Open In Hand Section. Junior Exhibitor: The age of junior exhibitor as of December 1 st, of the prior year shall be maintained throughout the entire show year. A junior exhibitor is 17 years and under. Junior Horse: is a horse 4 years old and under as of January 1st of the current year. Ladies Classes: Open to ladies age 18 and older. Limit: A horse or rider/driver that has not yet won 6 firsts in an USEF rated show in that division prior to the closing date of the show. Novice: A horse or rider/driver who has not yet won three firsts in an USEF rated show in that division prior to the closing date of this show.. One Horse Champtionship classes: Will not be stripped. Stallions: No stallions may be entered in classes, which specify ladies or junior exhibitor to ride or drive, including Fitting and Showmanship. Yearling Sweepstakes entries: Are NOT required to have been shown and judged in an appropriate qualifying class. Continued next page..

6 Show Definitions continued: Walk-Trot Exhibitors: Open to riders who are 12 years old and younger. To be judged on the rail at the walk and trot only. Rider must not have been judged in ANY saddle class, test or pattern that has required a canter in a recognized or non-recognized competition. Riders may not enter any other class in the competition in which they are competing with the exception of other walk and trot classes, driving, fitting and showmanship, judging team competitions and specialty classes such as costume and other non-canter events, etc. Competitions are encouraged to divide the walk and trot divisions by age (suggested but not limited to: 8 and under and 9 through 12) and seat (Saddle Seat, Hunter Seat, Western or Reining Seat, Dressage Seat). Stallions are prohibited. Equipment, attire and presentation must match the discipline being ridden and the class entered. Protective headgear is acceptable. Horses must not be asked to back. Before horses are judged in the lineup, one attendant without whip per entry will be permitted in the lineup and will be called in by the announcer. MO174 Carriage Driving Division Carriage driving classes will follow the ADS/USEF rules. In this section, horses are to be driven single, pair, tandem, unicorn, or four-in-hand to an appropriate wooden wheeled vehicle. Harness must be in good repair, clean, fit. The whip must wear hat, gloves, driving apron, and carry a driving whip. Header may be used for a single hitch but must come from within the vehicle. Multiple hitches must carry a header at all times. When entering this section, please indicate on entry form the width of you widest axle measurement as required by ADS rules. Any breed is eligible to participate in all carriage driving classes. NO WIRE WHEELS. Carriage Driving Reinsmanship Single hitch or multiple hitch. A pleasure driving class in which entries are judged primarily on the ability and skill of driver. To be shown both ways of the arena at a walk, collected trot, working trot, and trot-on. Drivers shall be required to rein back. All drivers chosen for a workout must be worked both ways of the arena at any gait requested by the judge and may be asked to execute a figure eight and perform any other appropriate tests. To be judged 75% on handling of reins and whip, control, posture, and overall appearance of driver; and 25% on the condition of harness and vehicle and neatness of attire. Period apparel prohibited. Carriage Driving Turnout A pleasure driving class in which entries are judged primarily on the performance and quality of each turnout. To be shown both ways of the arena at a walk, collected trot, working trot, and trot on. To stand quietly and to rein back. All entries chosen for a workout may be worked both ways of the arena at any gait requested by the judge, and may be asked to execute a figure eight, and/or perform other appropriate tests. To be judged 40% on performance, manners, and way of going; 30% on the condition, fit and appropriateness of harness and vehicle; 15 % on overall impression. Period apparel prohibited. Carriage Driving Working A pleasure driving class in which entries are judged primarily on the suitability of horse to provide a pleasant drive. To be shown both ways of the arena at a flat walk, collected trot, working trot, and trot on. To stand quietly both on the rail while lined up and to rein back. All entries chosen for a workout to be worked both ways of the arena at any gait requested by the judge and may be asked to execute a figure eight. To be judged on performance, manners and way of going 70%; on the condition and fit of harness and vehicle 20%; and on the neatness of attire 10%. Period apparel prohibited.

7 Miscellaneous Division Pro-Am Pleasure Open to Junior Exhibitors to participate as the amateur rider. To be shown the first way of the ring by the Amateur rider, the second way of the ring by the Professional. Amateur rider must be eligible and in possession of an amateur card or a Junior Exhibitor. Horse may be ridden Hunt, Western, or Saddleseat disciplines. Will be shown at the Walk, Trot/Jog, Extended Trot (for discipline), and Canter. Judged 60% manners & performance/40% type & conformation. Academy Classes: Open to saddle seat, hunt seat and western riders who have not competed in regular competitions classes. Walk/Trot riders may not compete in any class that canters. Attire to be dark pants, jodhpurs, or breeches. Shoes with heels or boots, dress shirt, tie, sweater or sweater vest. No fitted vests or coats. No derbies, western hats or hunt hats. Safety helmets are permitted and encouraged. Rider only to be judged. Open to any suitable horse or pony with suitable tack. Student Driver This is a class for the first time exhibitor. Must have trainer or experienced driver accompany student driver in class. To be shown at a walk, pleasure trot, and extended trot both ways of the ring. (NO BACK) Trainer may head the horse in line up. Must have suitable horse for student driver. Driver must not have shown driving before this class, and may stay in student driver class until showing in other driving classes. To be judged on performance, manners, suitability for a student driver 60%; type and conformation 40%. Costume Class Entries to enter at the walk. To be judged on originality of costume of horse and/or rider at the walk (trot and canter not required or at the discretion of the judge). Horses may be led, ridden, or driven. Because of the variety of riders and horses, manners is a requirement. Any unsafe horse will be excused from the ring. Ride a $5 Enter on Entry Form. Horse will be ridden bareback with any kind of bridle. Ringmaster will place a 5$ bill under your left leg as you enter the ring. The judge will call the required gaits. When your 5$ falls to the ground you will ride to the center of the ring and line up. The last rider to have 5$ under his/her leg will take the pot. Exhibition Western Pleasure-Open to all breeds-to be shown at a walk, jog and lope both directions of the arena. To stand quietly in the line up and required to back. To be judged under USEF rules for tack and attire. Exhibition Western Pleasure Stake- Open to all breeds who have been entered, shown and judged in any qualifying class within the Western Pleasure division at this show.. To be shown at a walk, jog and lope, stand quietly in the line up and required to bank. To be judged under USEF rules for tack and attire. Exhibition English Pleasure-Open to all breeds-to be shown at a walk, trot and canter both directions of the arena and are required to back. To be judged under USEF rules for tack and attire. Exhibition English Pleasure Stake- Open to all breeds who have been entered, shown and judged in any qualifying class within the English Pleasure division at this show.. To be shown at a walk, trot and canter both directions of the ring and are required to bank. To be judged under USEF rules for tack and attire. 1st and 2nd Year Green Classes: A green horse is a horse of any age in their 1st or 2nd year of performance showing at any competition in any discipline. To be shown at the respective gaits called for by division. SINGLE HACKNEY PONY OPEN: (Open, Mares, Stallions, Geldings, Maiden, Novice, Limit, Gentleman and Owners) To be shown at a park trot and a show your pony. To be judged on performance, quality and manners. SINGLE HARNESS PONY OPEN 50" AND UNDER (Open, Mares, Stallions, Geldings, Maiden, Novice, Limit, Gentleman, and Owners) To be shown at a park trot and a show your pony. To be judged on performance, quality and manners.

8 Mischellaneous Division Continued SINGLE ROADSTER PONY TO BIKE OPEN 52" AND UNDER OPEN (Open, Limit, Novice, Junior) To be shown first at the jog-trot and road gait then reversed and shown at a jog-trot, road gait and then speed. To be judged on performance, speed, presence, quality, conformation, and manners. SINGLE HACKNEY HORSE/HEAVEY HARNESS HORSE OPEN (Mares, Stallions,Geldings, Maiden, Novice, Limit, Gentleman and Owners) To be shown at a park trot and show your horse. To be judged on performance, quality and manners. DUTCH HARNESS HORSE CLASSES: To be shown:. To show both ways of the ring at park trot exhibiting highly collected trot with animation & brilliance & Show your horse designated the speed which best suits your horse. Extension of gaits is a distinctive characteristic of the breed, however, excessive speed and loss of form should be penalized. To be judged: on Performance, brilliance, quality, manners & conformation. Are we missing a class from our show? If there is a specific class you wish to request be added to our show you MUST follow these steps: A) Contact one of the co-chairs of the show to discuss your class needs B) If the show approves adding of your class you must send in a minimum of $75 for a qualifier class and $125 for the addition of a championship class.. C) You must make your best efforts to find additional exhibitors to participate in the added class. D) You must be timely enough to allow proper advertising of the added class to satisfy show requirements. Notifications of added classes will be publicized via web site, as well as posted at the Show Office and announced at the show. E) Show management will make final determination if a requested class fits within our show.

Contestents are encouraged to use any props, Power Point, or other presentation tools to assist you. The Morgan Masterpiece show committee strongly encourages all of our Youth exhibitors to participate in this event. 17 The Rawhide Boys Ranch has been our charity for many years. Located along the Wolf River near New London, Wisconsin. Rawhide is a facility which works with young men 13 to 17 who are referred to Rawhide by a Social Service Agency or a Juvenile Judge. Rawhide provides academic and vocational training in preparation for college, independent living or returning to their family. The Rawhide boys are very involved with the running of our show and helping around the grounds. From sweeping, cleaning barns, and presenting trophies, their help is greatly appreciated.
