28 Bus realtime information system : VISULYS Stakes and objectives of Visulys : buses fitted, stations and stops fitted with information screens for passengers, - Waiting time updated every 30 seconds.
29 A few guidelines Lyon tries to keep in mind A new line must be considered as part of a network : - Some routes serve long distance trips with high commercial speed but do not serve entire corridor. - Other routes serve short trips at low speed and serve whole corridor. - Network strength depends on integration of different types. Passenger service qualities are prime : - Modal choice is not a prerequisite, but quality objectives are commercial speed, regularity, punctuality, passenger comfort, safety. Environmental and urban objectives play an important role : - Available street space - Urban regeneration programs in corridor - Local and global pollution objectives.
