Recommended Award: $18,702 The Miracle Theatre 280 Miracle Mile Coral Gables, Florida Grant funds are requested to support 30 full scholarships for 28 students ages 7-17 to attend the Children's Summer Camp and 2 students to attend the Advanced Musical Theatre Camp from June 10-August 13 at the MIracle Theatre in Coral Gables. Camp activities will include music, dance, monologue development, performance, design and art. Participants will engage in musical theatre training and performance and will learn acting techniques that will also develop communication skills. 2) Area Performance Gallery Inc. DBA Area Stage Company Recommended Award: $18, South Dixie Highway Suite 103 Coral Gables, Florida Grant funds are requested to support 20 full and 10 partial scholarships for 30 students ages 6-18 to receive intensive performing arts training from June 10-August 11 at the Area Stage Conservatory in Coral Gables. Students will participate in the entire creative process of a theatrical production: from basic script analysis to a completed performance. Junior students will perform five times and senior students will perform ten times, thus providing a professional experience. 3) ArtSouth A-Not-For-Profit Corporation Recommended Award: $23, N Krome Ave. Homestead, Florida Est. # of children/youth to be underwritten by SAS-C Grant: 48 Grant funds are requested to support 48 full scholarships for 48 students ages 7-15 to attend ArtSouth's Creative Summer Camp from June 17- August 9 at ArtSouth in Homestead/Florida City. Camp activities will include visual arts, theater, music and dance. Participants will engage in multidisciplinary art forms and learn 2D and 3D art, ceramics, music and dance. 4) Barry University, Inc. Recommended Award: $7, NE 2 Street Miami Shores, Florida Est. # of children/youth to be underwritten by SAS-C Grant: 24 Grant funds are requested to support 24 full scholarships for 24 students ages to attend the Summer Science Research Program (SSRP) from June at the Barry University main campus in Miami Shores. Camp activities will include structured morning activities on college preparation and college life, and full-immersion in hands-on science research in the afternoons, culminating in a formal oral presentation on the last day with parents and faculty attending as guests. 2 5) Coral Gables Museum Corp., The Recommended Award: $12,590 Coral Gables Museum 285 Aragon Avenue Coral Gables, Florida Grant funds are requested to support 20 full and 10 partial scholarships for 30 students ages 5-12 to attend the City Trekker Summer Camp 2013 from June 11-August 16 at the Coral Gables Museum in Coral Gables. Camp activities will include arts and crafts activities, science activities, museum gallery learning activities and camp games. Participants will engage in museum activites, special presentations and field trips to learn about visual arts, architecture, design, history, and more. 6) ENFAMILIA, INC. Recommended Award: $18, N. Krome Ave Homestead, Florida Est. # of children/youth to be underwritten by SAS-C Grant: 20 Grant funds are requested to support 20 full scholarships for 20 students ages to attend the 11th annual Art-in-Action summer camp from June 17-July 26 at Everglades Community Association in Florida City. Program activities include field trips, public performances showcasing the students and two art workshops for parents. Participants will engage in the visual arts as well as learn musical theater, drama, dance, video production, creative writing and culinary arts. 7) Experience Aviation, Inc. Recommended Award: $22, NW 42nd Ave Suite 103 Opa-locka, Florida Grant funds are requested to support 30 full scholarships for 30 students ages 6-17 to attend the 2013 STEM Summer Academy from June 17-August 9 at the Experience Aviation Learning Center in Opa-Locka. Participants will gain knowledge and experience the world of science, technology, engineering, and math. Participants will learn robotics, rocketry, green technology, and enjoy hands-on activities such as learning to fly through simulators, and building and launching radio control airplanes. 8) GREATER MIAMI YOUTH SYMPHONY OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, INC. Recommended Award: $24, Sunset Drive Miami, Florida Est. # of children/youth to be underwritten by SAS-C Grant: 45 Grant funds are requested to support 45 full scholarships for 45 students ages 5-14 to attend the GMYS Beginners Camp from July 15-August 9 at the Atala Montessori School in Homestead and Deering Estate at Cutler in South Miami-Dade. Camp activities will include beginning strings and wind instrument instruction, chorus, recorders, Page 2

Participants will engage in instrumental and music education classes and learn basic musicianship and instrumental technique. 9) Historical Association of Southern Florida, Inc. Recommended Award: $9, W. Flagler Street Miami, Florida Est. # of children/youth to be underwritten by SAS-C Grant: 25 Grant funds are requested to support 25 partial scholarships for students ages to attend the Teen Miami Summer Institute from July 3-August 16 at HistoryMiami in downtown Miami. Camp activities will include photography, exhibit design and installation, and field trips. Participants will engage in documentary photography and historic research and learn about historic preservation, museum work and careers, and community history. 10) Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center, Inc. Recommended Award: $15, Crandon Boulevard Key Biscayne, Florida Est. # of children/youth to be underwritten by SAS-C Grant: 100 Grant funds are requested to support 100 full scholarships for 100 students ages 8-12 to attend the Summer by the Sea Camp from June 10-August 16 at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center in Crandon Park on Key Biscayne. Camp activities include an array of fun and exciting outdoor environmental education, art, science, and recreational activities that deepen youngsters' connection to their natural world. 11) Miami Dade College Recommended Award: $10, NE 2nd Avenue Miami, Florida Est. # of children/youth to be underwritten by SAS-C Grant: 50 Grant funds are requested to support 50 full scholarships for 50 students ages to attend the CSI Summer Science Camp from June 10-July 5 at the Miami Dade College North Campus in Miami / Opa Locka. Camp activities will include hands-on experiments, learning from guest speakers, and field trips on forensic science. Participants will engage in biometrics and forensics disciplines and learn critical thinking, evidence processing, and case presentation. 12) Miami Dance Project, Inc. Recommended Award: $18, SW 117 ave Miami, Florida Est. # of children/youth to be underwritten by SAS-C Grant: 75 Grant funds are requested to support 75 full scholarships for 75 students, including 50 with autism, ages 6-18 to attend the MDP 2013 Summer Dance Camp from June 10-August 16 at the Miami Dance Project in Kendall. 4 activities will include ballet, jazz, and tap. Participants will engage in the performing arts and learn dance technique, teamwork, and the dance business. Children with autism will improve their cognitive thinking, motor, and social skills. 13) Miami Light Project, Inc. Camp activities will include DJing (Mixing Music), Emceeing (Rapping), BBoying/Bgirling (Hip Hop dance) and Graffiti (Urban Art). Participants will engage in the creation of a collaborative artwork and learn the four artistic elements of Hip Hop taught by professional artists. 14) Miami Stage Company Miami Childrens Theater Inc. Recommended Award: $20, SW 112th Avenue Miami, Florida Est. # of children/youth to be underwritten by SAS-C Grant: 50 Grant funds are requested to support 25 full and 25 partial scholarships for 50 students ages 5-17 to attend the Creative Camps and Broadway Bound camps from June 10-August 2 at the Coral Gables Youth Center, Byron Carlyle Theater on Miami Beach, and the Alper JCC in Kendall. Camp activities include participation in mainstage theater productions, a conservatory-based immersion into song, dance and acting, and other musical artsoriented activities. Each four week session ends with a performance for the general public. 15) Miami Theater Center Recommended Award: $21, NE 2nd Avenue Miami Shores, Florida Est. # of children/youth to be underwritten by SAS-C Grant: 36 Grant funds are requested to support 36 full scholarships for 36 students ages 6-12 to attend the Musical Theatre Summer Camp June 10-August 9 in Miami Shores. Teaching-artists lead campers in acting, music, dancing, theatre games, art projects, costume days, and creation of a unique theatre production. Campers learn arts awareness, increase artistic proficiency and improve peer relations. Page 4
5 16) Miami-Dade County Park, Recreation and Open Spaces Department Recommended Award: $17, NW 2 Street Miami, Florida Est. # of children/youth to be underwritten by SAS-C Grant: 24 Grant funds are requested to support 24 full scholarships for 24 students ages to attend the G.E.M. Summer Camp from June 10-August 16 at the Woman's Park in west Miami. The camp includes classes in dance, theater, drawing, literary arts, guest speakers and field trips. Participants will foster personal development, engage in arts activities and learn arts techniques and leadership skills. 17) Museum of Contemporary Art, Inc. Recommended Award: $20, NE 125 Street North Miami, Florida Est. # of children/youth to be underwritten by SAS-C Grant: 100 Grant funds are requested to support 100 full scholarships for 100 students ages 5-18 to attend the MOCA AI Creative Arts Program June 10-August 16 and the Teen Journalism, Photojournalism and Summer Open Studio Program June 17-August 16 at the Museum of Contemporary Art in North Miami. Activities for ages 5-12 will include thematic creative hands-on visual arts classes designed to increase their artistic and social skills. Teen students will explore journalistic writing, communication and photography while cultivating literacy, investigative skills, independent study and creative thinking. 18) Museum of Science, Inc. (dba Miami Science Museum) Recommended Award: $23,016 Miami Science Museum 3280 South Miami Avenue Miami, Florida Est. # of children/youth to be underwritten by SAS-C Grant: 45 Grant funds are requested to support 180 full scholarships for 45 underserved students ages 4-12 to attend the Miami Science Museum Summer Science Camp from June 18-August 10 at the Miami Science Museum in Coconut Grove. Camp activities will include hands-on, inquiry-based scientific and technology topics. Participants will engage in a dedicated summer science camp that integrates art and science in a positive experiential environment. 19) Performing Arts Center Trust, Inc. dba Adrienne Arsht Center Recommended Award: $23,039 for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County Performing Arts Center Trust, Inc.\n1300 Biscayne Blvd. Miami, Florida Est. # of children/youth to be underwritten by SAS-C Grant: 13 Grant funds are requested to support 10 full and 3 partial scholarships for 13 students ages to attend AileyCamp Miami June 24-August 3 at the Adrienne Arsht Center in downtown Miami. Camp activities include disciplined dance training, as well as classes in creative communication instruction and personal development. Page 5

Recommended Award: $20, SW 112 Avenue Miami, Florida Est. # of children/youth to be underwritten by SAS-C Grant: 40 Grant funds are requested to support 40 full scholarships for 40 students (20 per session) ages 8-13 to attend the Dave and Mary Alper JCC Habimah Performing Arts Camp from June 17-August 9 at the Alper JCC in Kendall. Camp activities will include dance, drama, art and music. Campers will engage in dance, music, theater and visual arts and learn choreography, character and team building, monologues, costumes, scenery, lighting and sound, costume making, and set design. 21) The Miami Childrens Museum, Inc Recommended Award: $20, Macarthur Causeway Miami, Florida Est. # of children/youth to be underwritten by SAS-C Grant: 25 Grant funds are requested to support 25 full scholarships for 25 students ages 5-8 to attend the Creative Island Summer Camp from July 10- August 30 at the Miami Children's Museum on Watson Island. Camp activities will include theater, cooking, music and visual arts. Participants will engage in activities that teach creativity, selfexpression, self-esteem, teamwork, leadership, conflict resolution, communication skills, literacy, environmental responsibility and positive socialization. 22) THE SOUTH FLORIDA BOYS CHOIR, INCORPORATED Recommended Award: $16, S.W. 183 Street Miami, Florida Est. # of children/youth to be underwritten by SAS-C Grant: 75 Grant funds are requested to support 50 full and 25 partial scholarships for 75 students ages 6-17 to attend the 2013 SUMMER MUSIC INSTITUTE (SMI) fromjune 10 - August 2 at R. R. Moton Elementary School in West Perrine. Camp activities will include classes and workshops in academics and artistic-performance training.
