With MindLinc, customers have all of the tools they need to seamlessly integrate, manage, evaluate, and improve behavioral health treatment at all levels. Customers employ the MindLinc Rules Engine to establish and enforce clinical practices, evidence based practices, treatment guidelines, regulations, and payor rules including Pay-For-Performance. Customers use MindLinc s clinical outcomes data and the MindLinc Global Database to help improve care, demonstrate outcomes for Pay-for-Performance and accountable care management, secure grants, conduct research, and benchmark performance. The Challenge Customers rely on MindLinc to power virtually all of their business processes and to safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI). Because MindLinc is so critical to their behavioral health practices, customers need the system to be constantly available, secure, and fully HIPAA-compliant. When MindLinc first came on the market, it was available only as a client-server solution deployed on customer premises. Soon, however, customers began requesting a hosted, Software-as-a- Service option. We were looking at what was going on in our industry and seeing other EMR systems moving into the cloud, says Deo Garlock, executive director of MindLinc. At the same time, many of our customers wanted a hosted option.

Over time, however, MindLinc began to consider other options for powering its Software-as-a-Service offering. The issue: the first hosting provider was not HIPAA-compliant and was quite expensive. Support and service were not always efficient, prompt, personalized, or responsive. The Solution After evaluating several options, Garlock switched to ClearDATA to deliver the MindLinc solution on its cloud-based infrastructure. ClearDATA s pricing is much more favorable for us than our previous vendor, says Garlock. The behavioral health market is very price-sensitive. ClearDATA lets us offer a more attractive, costeffective solution. Once customers are up and running with ClearDATA, the solution is rock-solid. Behavioral health providers benefit because they can focus on patients versus spending time managing on-premise servers.
