2 Course Overview The MERC Advanced Lateral Lumbar Interbody Fusion (LLIF) training course is a dynamic one day course where surgeons can enhance their skills and knowledge in the LLIF technique. The course begins with a didactic session presented by a key thought leader in the technique. This is followed by an intensive hands-on training session utilizing cadaver specimens to engage in surgical methods and approaches. Each participant will have extensive hands-on time with a 2:1 surgeon to faculty ratio. The course will focus on the following techniques: Direct Look Anterior Longitudinal Ligament (ALL) Release Lateral Corpectomy Retro/Trans plural approach Dan Cohen, MD Chairman Target Audience: Enrollment in this course is open to practicing orthopaedic and neurological spine surgeons who have a good foundation in LLIF and are looking to learn more.
