In this role I have been developing my research program further, managing a team of research nurses on the PICU, working clinically on the PICU, teaching on postgraduate nursing courses and undertaking practice development work. February 1997 to April 1997, doing full time bank work in the adult ITU at Harefield Hospital June 1996 to January 1997, worked as an E Grade staff nurse in a 17-bed Paediatric cardiothoracic surgical unit at Harefield Hospital. December 1991 to May 1996, worked in a busy 16-bed postoperative cardiac surgical intensive care unit (ICU) (Adult and Paediatric) at The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH), as both a registered nurse, a clinical nurse specialist and the clinical educator for this unit. June August 1994, worked as a registered nurse in the 16 bed Coronary Care Unit at TPCH as part of my critical care course. 2

August 1992 to July 1993, worked as a bank registered nurse, part time at St. Andrew s War Memorial Hospital working in the 20-bed intensive care/coronary care/post cardiac surgical unit. I also occasionally worked in the telemetry, surgical and paediatric wards. April 1991 to November 1991, worked as a registered nurse in the Accident and Emergency Department of the Royal Brisbane Hospital. January 1991 to April 1991, worked as a registered nurse in a 10-bed combined general adult ICU/coronary care unit at the Mater Adult Public Hospital.
