Our products include Finance and Comprehensive Insurance Solutions. Through our team s collective expertise in the fields of finance, insurance, fleet and risk management coupled with an extensive knowledge of the commercial industry, we pride ourselves on our ability and flexibility in providing you with an appropriate comprehensive solution. With our headquarters in Johannesburg, Gauteng, MFS service offering is supported by a team of Business Development Managers based in strategic regional locations throughout South Africa. Finance solutions In consultation with you, any of the finance options available through MFS can be customised to suit your specific business requirements. The following finance options are available for you through MFS. Instalment/Suspensive Sale MFS will finance a vehicle for which you make regular monthly payments over a fixed contract period. The asset will reflect on your balance sheet and finance charges and depreciation are fully tax deductible Upon payment of the final instalment, you will obtain ownership of the vehicle. A deposit is normally required and the percentage could vary. VAT is capitalised up front (VAT is handled differently for subsidised bus transporters). Lease This option allows you the use of the vehicle for an agreed period for which regular monthly payments are made. The asset will reflect on your balance sheet. You have the option of taking ownership, or extend the finance agreement at the end of the initial finance period in the case of a residual value. VAT is capitalised up front (VAT is handled differently for subsidised bus transporters). There is no asset disposal risk. Accounting principles will determine whether the asset will be reflected on your balance sheet or not. VAT is not capitalised up front but is payable monthly. Rentals are fully deductible as an operating expense. Full Maintenance lease (FML) The same as a Rental, a Full Maintenance Lease provides cost effective and hassle free solution to customers requiring the use of a vehicle for a period shorter than the asset s anticipated useful life with no disposal risk and the same accounting and VAT principles. In addition to the above, the cost of maintenance and service is calculated based on pre-determined set parameters and paid monthly for the agreed maintenance period in conjunction with the monthly rental payment. Comprehensive Insurance Through capitalising on our MAN brand we offer Value Proposition to our customers due to the vested long term interest that we share with you by ensuring that you are optimally insured. Comprehensive insurance offers cover against any accidental damage and or loss including accidental damage or loss to third parties. Personal Accident Cover 24/7 injury cover to you, family member, driver and or your passengers. Goods-in-Transit - Protects you against accidental damage or loss of goods being transported in your vehicle. Value Added Benefits - Credit Protection and Excess Reducer Covers Deposit Protector Protect the cash investment you have made when paying a deposit for your finance by insuring the amount or a cover limit closest to your investment. In the event of a Total Loss due to Theft Hijack or Write-off of your vehicle a deposit reimbursement would be paid to you as per the selected cover. This cover allows you to pay a deposit on your replacement vehicle, thereby placing you in a position as close to where you prior to the Total Loss of your Payment Protector This option covers your finance instalments for a limited period following accidental damage to your vehicle that may require lengthy repairs and therefore cause Loss of Income. This cover is not available if the Loss of Use option has been selected. Credit Shortfall and Violation Cover In the event of a total loss of your vehicle during the period of insurance, the Statutory Settlement Balance would be paid by the Insurance Company, less any excess and other amounts due by you. This could potentially result in the amount owed to a Financial Institution being greater that the value of your asset thereby creating a shortfall. Credit shortfall cover would therefore ensure that this shortfall is significantly reduced or paid in full. Where the terms and conditions of the insurance policy is unintentionally violated resulting in a rejection of the claim, the Statutory Settlement Balance would be paid less any deductibles due by you limited to your cover. Loss of Use/Downtime Cover This cover provides a weekly cash benefit for a limited period to reduce the loss of income following accidental damage to your vehicle which may also require lengthy repairs. This cover is not available if Payment Protector option has been selected. Total Loss/Own Damage Excess Reducers These products are designed to reduce the excess payable by you on your underlying comprehensive insurance policy in the event of accidental damage and or total loss up to specified limits. Rental A Rental provides a cost-effective solution to customers requiring the use of a vehicle for a period which is shorter than the vehicles anticipated useful life. Passenger Liability - Protects you against costs and expenses for which you may be held liable, in the event of death or bodily injury to a passenger travelling in your vehicle as a result of an accident
