5 + The Clinic s values Respecting the values, dignity, autonomy and freedom to choose of each person that s what the Community Clinic is all about! Really listening to people. This means believing that it s the people going through difficult situations who are in the best position to decide what type of treatment or assistance they need. Empowerment and solidarity. We believe that people are able to learn about and understand their problems. They can then take charge of their situation. At the Clinic, we also try to get away from the idea that the doctor always knows best. We believe that the user (the patient) knows what s going on. After all, it s happening to them! So it only makes sense that they should be full partners, along with the staff, in making decisions about their own health.

6 + Starting points & expected outcomes "Mieux m informer sur ma santé" is a health information literacy initiative by two librarians and the Pointe-Saint- Charles Community Clinic Project objectives: To direct the community to reliable and accessible online health information resources in English and French by maintaining a dedicated page on the Clinic website. Using a participatory approach, to involve Clinic staff and users throughout the project. To contribute to better health information literacy in the community. To work towards empowering citizens to make informed decisions and become partners in their care, potentially leading to better health.

Oui et non Si non, pourquoi? je trouve pour ma part qu'il est plus simple d'aller directement faire ma recherche sur google en tapant les mots-clés. Est-ce que le portail a été facile à utiliser (à naviguer)? NON Ca me rapelle lorsque j'étais étudiante à l'université! (-mental health educator)
