1 On behalf of the Belgian Hand Group, the Belgian Elbow and Shoulder Society and the VVOV (Vereniging voor Vlaamse Operatie Verpleegkundigen), we would like to invite you for a joint scientific event in Antwerp, on Controversies in Hand, Wrist and Elbow Surgery. CADAVER SURGERY COURSE The first part, on 17 th of October 2014, will be a practical cadaver surgery course, for both surgeons and nurses. The surgeons are invited to bring a nurse from their own staff at no extra cost. In this cadaveric course, national and international experts in the field of hand, wrist and elbow surgery will demonstrate several surgical techniques, on excellent quality specimens. There will be ample time for the surgeon participants, to perform the surgeries of their choice and exchange tips and tricks but also for the nurses to familiarise themselves with the technique and work with the instruments. SCIENTIFIC MEETING The second part, on the 18 th of October 2014, will be a scientific meeting. It will take part in the beautiful historical buildings of the Bank van Breda, in the heart of Antwerp. This meeting will venture past the traditional conference, as the focus lies on controversial topics. Participants to this meeting are established surgeons and all speakers were chosen for their diverse preferences regarding different surgical techniques. There will be a separate program for nurses. Delegates will again be invited to participate in the program. Several practical subjects will be discussed, together with their theoretical background. Looking forward to meet you in Antwerp, Monique Van Hiel VVOV Roger van Riet BELSS Frederik Verstreken BHG
