If repair or replacement of connectors is required to achieve certification refer to AUSD Cabling specifications Document. Use of LC connectors for fiber has been rescinded. b. If contract is not able to be executed and completed over summer break work will need to be performed after school hours. Currently the latest schools are dismissed at 3PM. c. All wall cabinet replacements are exempt from the wire management requirements of section 2.18 of the AUSD Cabling Standards, except where feasible. d. All installed networking equipment in the data racks will be removed and reinstalled by the bidder. e. Old data cabinets will be disposed of by AUSD. 2. General. a. Submit bids with totals separated by site. Separate Data cabinet replacement and UPS installation costs from Data Drop installation costs. 3. IDF Data Cabinet Specifications. a. 10 Appendix A: Labeling of all wall jacks are to use the following format: <MDF # or IDF #>.<JACK #> i.e. If the MDF or IDF was #7 and the patch panel number was 23 then the label on the wall jack would have the following label: (Letters for IDFs and/or MDFs are NOT admissible). If this is a new IDF please call the district s IT department (951) to get the new number for that IDF. This needs to happen for each school. If the patch panel is factory labeled with a set of redundant numbers i.e. 1-24, then the patch panel would have to be labeled to show the new set of numbers. For example IDF #7 already has a patch panel with the numbers 1-24 and a second patch panel is installed, it must be relabeled with the numbers The wall jack label would look like this There is a MDF / IDF topology map available from the IT department for each existing school site in the District. Call or to get a copy of these map(s). The Contractor is responsible for creating a Visio document of the school and the data Topology that includes all IDF and the MDF. This is to be submitted on DVD or CD to the IT Director, Steven Marx.
