It is so rewarding to see local businesses expand and develop in Des Moines, along with those companies who are making the decision to call Central Iowa their new home. In my 15-year history in the employment business, the need for talent has never been greater. Given the David Leto tight labor market in Central Iowa, our Salary Guide is a valuable tool for employers as they hire top talent along with candidates who are interested in new opportunities. Palmer Group s salary data is compiled from hundreds of job openings plus thousands of experienced individuals we work with each year. We have assembled this Salary Guide using our company s nearly 17 years of experience in this market, and we re sharing with you the specific ranges for positions that are our focus at Palmer Group. While there are ranges listed within this salary guide, what you should pay will vary greatly depending on the size of your organization and the specific responsibilities given to each of your team members. We are seeing a trend where more and more salaries have moved further toward the top half of the range, which is a direct result of the tight talent pool. 5 2015 Central Iowa Salary Survey The information in this guide is based upon two sources of actual salaries being paid in Central Iowa. First, we gather data while assisting thousands of job seekers with their career planning. Our current database includes more than 30,000 individuals currently employed or seeking employment. We also gather salary information while working on searches for actual job openings here in Central Iowa. In 2014, we have worked on more than 1,700 searches; this work is also an excellent source of actual salaries being paid in our market. The result, we believe, is the most accurate summary of salary information in Central Iowa. In addition to providing salary figures, below is data on how organizations, who responded to our salary survey, in Central Iowa plan to proceed in 2015 as it relates to salary increases for their employees.
