Franklin Trust FCU Annual Meeting Tuesday, June 25, 2013 Starting at 7:30 p.m. at FTFCU Main Office: 632 Franklin Avenue, Hartford, CT ELECTIONS AND NOMINATIONS Elections will be held at the Annual Meeting for the Board of Directors and reports will be presented on the status and progress of your Credit Union. Nominations for the Board of Directors can be made by resume or petition. Nominations by resume must be submitted to the Nominating Committee for their review and filing with the Board Secretary by March 27, Nominations by petition must be signed by at least 59 FTFCU members and must be accompanied by a resume from the nominee(s), along with a signed certificate from the nominee(s) stating agreement and willingness to serve if elected. Nominations by petition must be filed with the Board Secretary by May 16, The Secretary will post the names of all nominees in a conspicuous place in the Credit Union by May 21, All elections of Board members will be determined by plurality vote and will be by ballot, except where there is only one nominee for the position. I have been a member of Franklin Trust Federal Credit Union for the past thirty years and I have been on the Supervisory Board for four years of which I have been chairman for the past two years. I have also served on the board of directors for the last two years which oversees the daily operations. During this time I have found FTFCU to have staff who are courteous and diligent in their Share Your Ideas with Us duties and to be an excellent example of a well-run fiscal organization. I was hired as CEO of Franklin Trust FCU (formerly Central CT Teachers FCU) in June of 1981, and have been part of the effort, either by being CEO or by serving on the Board as Treasurer, to bring this credit union from a failing 10 million dollar credit union to one with assets of 40 million. I am very familiar with the members, knowing many of them on a first name basis. I have witnessed firsthand and have supported the expansion of membership, services and opening of new offices, since my retirement. Why do you want to serve on the FTFCU Board of Directors? I enjoy being a part of a grassroots effort to inform, educate, and improve the financial aspects of our members lives. I look forward to continue the awareness of Franklin Trust as a leading financial institution in Connecticut. I have over 41 years of experience from serving as CEO for Hildreth Press FCU and Franklin Trust FCU, as well as serving on committees such as Executive, Convention, Governance, Development, International Partnership, Lending and Development Task Force and Membership Development. Employee Spotlight Devina Adam A Hartford native, Devina Adam was born and grew up in The Capital City. She graduated from Bulkeley High School some ten years ago. Devina has worked at Franklin Trust for about eight years in total, beginning in 2002, while she was still in high school. She departed the credit union in 2005, returned two years later, and has been here ever since. Devina s business card reads: Member Relationship Representative, but she wears many hats, as she puts it. You ll see her most often manning the front desk at our Main Office, handling phone calls, opening new accounts, and assisting members in a myriad number of ways. I love being on the front line and working with our members, says the personable employee. You learn something new every day. Devina and her husband, Irshad, became parents last year. Their daughter, Ameeya, was born on December 10. I love spending time with my family and friends, she beams. Devina also enjoys trips to The Big Apple to visit with out-of-state relatives and comrades, as well as going out, especially to restaurants. We enjoy having Devina at Franklin Trust and know our member-owners do, too!
