Eidson, P.A., is proud to announce that we will be awarding three scholarships worth a combined $3,000 to Florida high school students who write winning essays in our inaugural Scholarship Essay Contest. All documents must be submitted in a readable format (.doc,.docx or.pdf). You must submit an original essay of no less than 500 words and no more than 750 words. The essay must be on one of the following two topics: What challenges do our veterans face as they return to Florida from service in conflicts overseas, specifically those who return with injuries and disabilities? What can we do better as a society

Your essay must reflect that you have thoroughly researched the subject. You must cite to all sources of information. If you have a personal experience to share, please do so. Do not plagiarize, which is grounds for immediate disqualification. The essay must be submitted in a readable format (.doc,.docx or.pdf). You are limited to one essay. After all essays are submitted by our deadline of Friday, May 15, 2015, the law firm of Frank M. Eidson, P.A., will choose essays written by three students for our scholarship awards in the following amounts: First place $1,500 Second place $1,000 Third place $500 Scholarship Contest awards must be used exclusively for tuition at an institution of higher learning located within the state of Florida and/or for related expenses such as books and supplies.

Award winners are expected to submit receipts in accordance with IRS regulations. Our Scholarship Essay Contest award recipients will be notified of their selection on or before Friday, May 29, We will publicly announce all three winners on Monday, June 1, 2015, including posting the following on our website: The students names and digital photos Brief bio information (as provided on the Application Form) A copy of the students winning essays. All entries submitted to the law firm of Frank M. Eidson, P.A., in connection with our Scholarship Essay Contest, along with all copyright, trademark and other proprietary rights associated therewith, become the property of Frank M. Eidson, P.A., upon submission. Entry materials will not be returned to any entrant. By submitting an entry, you acknowledge that if you win a scholarship award, Frank M. Eidson, P.A., will own all rights to publish and promote the submission. All entrants agree that they consent to the use of their name and area of residence as well to the use of their likeness (as in a photograph) and prize information.
