2 Log into IMS and select the EdInsight Dashboard icon: Your screen will look similar to the below picture, select the My Dashboards link : Delaware Department of Education EdInsight Dashboard & Reports Portal School Quick Reference 2

3 Schools have two tabs: Academic Dashboard and five submenus that hold all metric roll-up data for your school. School Level users can view currently active students and the percentage who were proficient on the Smarter Balanced Assessment. In addition they can view student achievement by Grade Level by using the More drilldown option. NOTE: EdInsight is not an accountability tool. It is a system that allows you to view currently enrolled students in your school and how they performed on the most recent Smarter Balanced and DCAS Assessments. 5 Selecting on any of the hyperlinks on the School Information page, will take you to a list of students that make up that particular percentage. Example: ) Select a demographic indicator 2) Selecting on a column header will sort the data in ascending or descending order 3) Customize View will give you the following options a. See More Data allows you to add/remove columns b. Maximize grid removes the top banner and allows you to view more students on the screen c. Export All allows you to export all the data in the student list to Excel d. 6 Watch Lists and Counselor Pre-Loaded Lists from eschoolplus can be found by selecting on the School Information, My Student Lists tab To view reports on any of your student lists or teachers, hover over the Reports button and select the Classroom Teacher Report for Administrators, a new tab will open Delaware Department of Education EdInsight Dashboard & Reports Portal School Quick Reference 6

7 REPORTS - Select the Classroom Teacher Report for Administrators, a new tab will open and your screen should look similar to the below picture: ) Select a Cohort (Watch List) or Class Name 2) Select Student Grade 3) Select a Report There are 12 different reports that you can choose from 4) Select the Apply Button to generate the report Delaware Department of Education EdInsight Dashboard & Reports Portal School Quick Reference 7

8 Report Details: a. Class Roster (Student Id, Student Last Name, Student First Name) b. Class Roster with Attendance Details i. this report details the number of days enrolled, absent, tardy, percent present and Component V percent present for the course that you select ii. do NOT use multi-select for this report, only select one course at a time c. Class Roster with Date of Birth i. use the button to sort by birthdate, month or year d. Class Roster with Addresses i. only students with parent/guardian addresses in eschoolplus will be listed ii. export to Excel to copy and paste into Microsoft Outlook to send a bulk e. Class Roster with Emergency Contact i. Priority 1 and Priority 2 Contacts will be listed for each student f. Class Roster with IEP Expiration Date i. only students who have an IEP and are not withdrawn from Special Education will be listed g. Class Roster with Lines i. student names, student ids, and a blank line to use for substitute teachers, collection of money, check-lists etc.. h. Class Roster with Mailing Labels (see page 6 for additional details) i. this report allows you to select from three different address formats ii. select Export and chose PDF, addresses will be available in 5160 format iii. refer to page 6 for additional details i. Class Roster with Mark Distribution i. this report lists all student grades entered for a particular course j. Class Roster with Marks Failing i. this report only displays students with failing grades for the particular course that you select k. Class Roster with Medical Alerts i. only students with Medical Alerts will be listed l. Class Roster with Transportation Details i. only students with Transportation Details entered into eschoolplus will be listed All of the reports can be exported by selecting on the Actions link located in the top left hand corner of the reports portal screen. 9 When you select a student on the EdInsight Dashboard Program Important details to know when you select a student: 1) Students have three tabs a. Student Information gives demographic and program information for a student b. Academic Dashboard displays attendance, discipline, assessment, grades, and credit data c. Academic Profile this is an online transcript for a student. This tab displays building, course titles, final grades and historical assessment data for a student throughout their educational career within the Delaware Public or Charter school system 2) Show/Hide Prior Year button will display prior year data for a student (follows a student when they transfer) 3) Selecting the More button will display a graph or additional details for every metric Have questions?
