4 SELECTION PROCESS Selection Process FRESNO STATE IS IMPACTED FOR FIRST-TIME TIME FRESHMAN FALL 2011 Applicants from the CSU Fresno-defined local area will be admitted based on CSU system wide eligibility criteria. SAT or ACT strongly recommended for all local students. Local Admission Area Fresno, Madera, Tulare, Kings Out of Area Students will be ranked ordered by eligibility index and admission offers will be made in descending order of eligibility until the freshman class is full SAT or ACT scores are required for all applicants from schools outside the local area and from local students with a GPA below a Test scores must be submitted by January 15, Athletes must meet regular admissions requirements and NCAA eligibility requirements

5 SELECTION Selection PROCESS process CONT. All freshman applicants must complete the required subject matter requirements with grades of C or better by the date of high school graduation. Course requirements may not be completed during the summer after high school graduation. Special Admits: Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) CSU Fresno is also impacted in the Nursing program and in the Kinesiology-Athletic Training option.

Must Know Create account is required: Student Portfolio-Admissions: SAT/ACT Encourage students to take test no later than December test date Students must Accept/Decline Admissions March 15 May 1 Students must Register for Dog Days March 15-May 1 $55.00 fee must be paid by May 1

7 TIMELINES Timelines IMPORTANT DATES Note: All deadlines are firm and extensions will not be granted. October 1, 2010 Application filing period begins November 30, 2010 Deadline to submit applications for Fall 2011 December 2010 January, 2010 Admissions notices begin for local area students EPT/ELM- Encourage students to take in January April test will hold up registration for classes January 15, 2011 February 27, 2011 Official SAT or ACT score must be received by CSU, Fresno (Last test date for SAT is 12/04/2010, ACT 12/11/2010) Last Day to submit Fresno State Scholarship application

March 15, 2011 May 1, 2011 pay June 2010 June 30, 2011 First date to Accept/Decline admissions offer and register (pay fee) for Dog Days (orientation) This is MANDATORY Deadline to Accept/Decline admissions offer, register and for Dog Days. Dog Days: New Student Orientation sessions begin. Deadline for Admitted first time freshmen to submit final official high school transcript. August 22, 2011 Instruction for Fall 2011 begins.
