4 Princeton facts as of 2013 Operating budget $1.5 billion Princeton s endowment : fifth-largest in the country: $17.9 billion Total Employees : 5,995 ; Faculty: 1177 Undergraduate student-to-faculty ratio: 6:1 Student enrollment: 7,912 : 5,264 undergraduate; 2,648 graduate Undergraduate admission rate in : 7.4% Undergraduate students on financial aid: 60% International students about 11%of undergraduates American minorities approximately 38%of the undergraduate student body COA: $56,750/year Average financial aid award for the Class of 2017: $41,450 Slide 4

No University Strategic Plan People want tactics - - less interested in strategy Departmental IT colleagues welcome tactical plans Asking for input and not using it is worse than not asking for it. Maybe it s more useful to have some constituents react to ideas rather than create them. Institutional capacity is limited due to Prime and transition of new leaders at the university. Slide 11

To this end we must continually: Deliver information technology products and services that meet the needs of the Princeton community and achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. Provide a robust, reliable, and secure information technology infrastructure. Attract, develop, and retain quality information technology professionals.
