3 Hluboká nad Vltavou Forest District Hluboká nad Vltavou Forest District is situated in the Central Bohemian Uplands ( m above sea level), in the South Bohemian Basin ( m above sea level) and the Ceske Budejovice Basin ( m above sea level). The cadastre area of the Forest District is 68,990 ha. Managed forest land covers a total of 11,376 ha. The area is divided into six hunting grounds. The forest stands are composed predominantly of conifers (71 %), followed by broadleaved tree species (29%). Within game preserves, broadleaved species constitute approximately 50 % of the trees. The main species are spruce and oak. The Forest District manages 3 hunting grounds Stará Obora Game Preserve 1,511 ha (Fallow Deer, Mouflon, Wild Boar) Ponìšice Game Preserve 1,664 ha (Red Deer, Wild Boar, Roe Deer) open hunting ground Vltava 1,000 ha (Roe Deer, Wild Boar) All these game preserves are part of the Natura 2000 network. 4 Ponìšice Game Preserve Location South Bohemia, north of Èeské Budìjovice, right bank of the Vltava river Game Preserve Characteristics The game preserve is situated in the Hlubocká Uplands. Its relief is characterized by deep stream valleys, plateaus with meadows, pastures and fishponds. The game preserve is part of the Natura 2000 network. The dominant tree species are broadleaved trees (52 %), followed by conifers (48 %). Ancient oak trees grow along roads. The game preserve is elevated m above sea level. 9 Accommodation The accommodation of hunting guests and their accompaniments will be provided in hunting lodges, hotels or in private lodgings in the vicinity of the hunting grounds. The price for accommodation in hotels or in private lodgings is subject to the price lists of the respective facilities. We offer organization of weddings, banquets, work meetings, receptions or parties at our hunting lodges. Price for such events is subject to agreement.
