2 intro The Road to Success Our clients 2008 Founded in 2008 by 2 fresh graduates and 2 students, KRDS is now 5 years old and is currently a leading Social Media agency in Europe and Asia. A pioneer in its field, it was the first non-american agency to develop brand applications on Facebook Today, KRDS boasts a range of expertise from Community Management, creation and optimisation of Facebook Ad campaigns, Site Socialisation and Branding. In recent events, KRDS has evolved into a full-fledged Social Media Agency and has been involved in campaigns beyond Facebook such as on Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr. Its newest addition is expertise on Chinese social networks Sina Weibo and Wechat. The agency s mission is to collaborate with brands in Europe and Asia to build, implement and monitor their communication strategy on social networks, be it with desktops, tablets or even mobiles. From the very beginning, KRDS has specialised in custom Facebook application development for companies and has been part of Facebook s Preferred Marketing Developer Programme since its launch in Europe in At the recently held Facebook Innovation Competition, KRDS was the only non-american contestant to have won an award among the 260 participating agencies. Today, KRDS has a headcount of 120 employees around the world and has 8 offices in Europe and Asia. The agency has handled 1000 campaigns across 15 countries for over 300 brands, such as Peugeot, Danone, Microsoft, LVMH, Unilever, Nestle, Tag Heuer, Titan HTSE, Air France, L Oreal and David Guetta.

3 intro The Road to Success Our clients KRDS inception The Liste des 23 app for Eurosport Antoine Sandrin, Thomas Jestin, Thomas Guenoux and Guillaume Simon first got together in June 2007 to launch Cancoon.fr, which was designed to be the French Facebook. In the wake of Facebook s exponential growth in Europe during the autumn of 2007, they overhauled their ideas, buried their site, and instead profited from the opening of the Facebook platform to developers by launching the Cursus application. Cursus could be used to find primary school classmates, those whose names we had forgotten but had filled in their school information, for example. It was an immediate success: by simply sending an to the classmates in their year, the application took off and reached over 200,000 users in 1 month. It was a revelation for the four entrepreneurs who were suddenly inspired by the viral potential of Facebook. They then decided to offer brands the possibility of cashing in: This is how KRDS was born. After several months of prospecting, Eurosport, the leading European sports TV channel, was the first to choose KRDS and its founders idea to launch the Facebook application List of 23 for the Euro The app allowed users to create one s own team of football players who deserved to be selected for the Euro, share it on Facebook and compare their selections with friends and the overall user average. This was another success with the application acquiring more than 100,000 users in 3 weeks, without any advertising budget. KRDS, at that time a UFO in the digital landscape, launched Facebook marketing in France as a follow up to this feat. This was almost one year before Facebook opened its very own sales office there. Several major brand budgets followed suit, which catalysed expansion and allowed the agency to progressively reach where it is today with 8 offices across Europe and Asia.

In 2010 KRDS joined the prestigious Facebook PMD programme (Preferred Marketing Developer) and thus became a member of the elite club of agencies recommended to brands by Mark Zuckerberg s social network. KRDS has never stopped growing: the agency very quickly decided to go international to offer its social network expertise throughout the world. In 2013 alone, it has opened 3 new Asian offices: in Bombay, Singapore and Shanghai! KRDS works with customers from all horizons, from Italy, Belgium and Germany to China, Indonesia and Australia. Now, the start-up has over 120 employees spread internationally across eight offices in Europe and Asia. In 2011, KRDS opened to investments and AXA Private Equity began to finance its international, organic and external growth. KRDS and the Facebook Innovation Competition In April 2013, KRDS was the only non-american agency to win the Facebook Innovation Competition for its Feedizr advertising tool. 260 agencies throughout the world were in competition to build an innovative product based on the theme of Facebook-specific news and tools. A total of 7 agencies were awarded but KRDS was the only non-american agency to win an award.

5 intro The Road to Success Our clients KRDS has built the longest-standing Facebook branded app ever. The Canal+ Pronostics 1 application created for the French Canal+ TV channel has been online since 2009 and continues to engage a very large user base. This application allows users to predict French Premier League football match results with the objective being to best their friends, colleagues and all users of the app every week, month and over the whole season. Users can view rankings and unlock badges. The application was initially launched in 2009 without any media purchase and currently has over 100,000 users per month. It is updated with a new list of matches every year just like an actual football season. During the season, it generated over 400 million earned social media impressions for the brand in users friends Newsfeeds.
