15 An Introduction Granular Restore Restoring granular information from your Backups Altaro Hyper-v Backup offers two methods of retrieving granular information from your backups, without restoring the entire VM: File Level Restore Instantly browse the contents of the VHD(X) files of the VM, choose which files/folders you would like, and restore just these files/folders to a specified location on disk.
