2 Verify Your Listing Is Complete Complete and accurate listings attract more serious prospects and help close deals more quickly. Create A Catchy & Searchable Headline A great headline should be informative and attractive. Using keywords such as location or business type will help buyers find your listing, while highlighting features such as established customer base or profitability will entice them to view it. Include Accurate & Detailed Descriptions Detailed listings that include an asking price, cash flow, and a compelling description of the business help turn searchers into potential buyers and eliminate basic and time-consuming questions. Add A Second Category - It s Free! Did you know that you can list a business in up to two categories? That s twice the exposure at no additional cost! Take advantage and list your business in the two categories that most closely match your business. Attach A Photo For 2X More Exposure Listings with photos are more attractive and receive twice as many views as those without. If confidentiality prevents you from posting a photo of the business, upload a photo that relates to the business instead. For example, use a pizza photo for a pizzeria or a wrench for a repair shop. Attach Pertinent Documents Add information by attaching a Word or PDF document. Some examples of useful documents include: Non-disclosure agreements, further information about the business, financial statements, etc Upgrade Your Listing To The Top of Search Results For Maximum Exposure Move your listing to the top of Search Results by upgrading to Showcase Choice or Showcase Listing Plus. Showcase Choice gives you the flexibility to rotate multiple listings to the top of Search Results, while Showcase Listing Plus moves a specific listing to the top with the added benefits of a prospect call list and a dedicated BuyerBlast to targeted prospects. BuyerBlast s are also available a la carte. HOW TO DO IT Step 1: Log in to your account at Step 2: Click the button Step 3: Select the listing you wish to update and click "Edit" to update the listing : information or Attach to add a photo and/or document. Step 4: To upgrade, select the Showcase Choice, BrokerWorks Premium or BuyerBlast checkbox next to the listing you wish to upgrade and follow the prompts. You can also send a BuyerBlast during the create listing process.

5 Monitor the Market with a BizAlert Stay on top of new listings in your area and industry with a free alert. Know The Competition Monitor the market for competing listings and observe trends in your listings local area. Once you have registered for a BizAlert, BizBuySell will keep you updated on newly added listings that match your search criteria. HOW TO DO IT: Step 1: Go to Step 2: Click the "BizAlerts " button. Step 3: Complete the form and click the Register Now button to submit your request.. 6 BizBuySell Glossary of Financial Terms Sellers and brokers are instructed to arrive at their financial figures using the definitions below Asking Price The asking prices for the business for sale. Gross Income Gross income is defined as "all income the business received before any cost-of-sales have been deducted." Cash Flow Cash flow is arrived at by "starting with your net (before tax) profit. Then add back in any payments made to the owner, interest and any depreciation of assets." For example, if the net profit before taxes was $100,000 and the owner was paid $70,000 then the cash flow is $170,000. FF&E Furniture, fixtures, and equipment that will remain with the business, such as desks, office cubicles, décor elements of a restaurant or showroom, computers and office machines, pots and pans, dishes, display cases, manufacturing equipment, etc. depending on the type of business. Real Estate If the business has real property that can convey with the business, the value of the property may be included in the asking price or kept separate as an optional purchase. EBITDA EBITDA stands for earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization and is an approximate measure of a business s operating cash flow. Need More Help?
