3 Mission and Vision The Mission: The mission of Ramah in the Rockies is to create an immersive and nurturing Jewish summer camp community for children, teens, and young adults, combining outdoor adventure with environmental education and Jewish learning. Ramah in the Rockies promotes: Excellence Community Building Personal Growth Development of Jewish Community Infusion of Jewish Values into Daily Life Environmental Awareness and Activism The Vision: Ramah in the Rockies seeks to educate and inspire a new generation of young Jewish leaders who: Are Jewishly and environmentally literate. Are committed to living enlightened Jewish lives. Actively strengthen the broader Jewish community. Preserve and protect the earth s natural gifts. Inspire positive change in the global community through their example of environmental stewardship and the perpetuation of Jewish values. We re Making It Happen! Thanks To You! Ramah in the Rockies currently welcomes nearly 400 campers each year, coming from a range of Jewish backgrounds, from 27 US states, Canada, Israel, the Netherlands and Mexico. Ramah in the Rockies also offers a Tikvah program for campers with special needs, and JOLI, a teen leadership program, who gain expertise and skills in outdoor adventure and in building Jewish community. Our goal is to expand the camp facilities in order to offer its programs to greater numbers of campers and make an exponentially greater impact on the vitality of the Jewish community and its future leaders. Ramah in the Rockies has launched a capital campaign to support the goal of camp expansion that will allow 500 campers to attend camp each season and support its rapidly growing camper community. This expansion will also provide long-term financial sustainability for our camp ensuring we can make this impact on campers for generations to come.
