1 Establishment of Access Student login credentials for Pearson LearningStudio are pulled from the Registrar s stored student information. TCU Students are required to create a TCU account. The link below is instructions on how to create a new TCU account. Students must be admitted to TCU to have access to Pearson LearningStudio. Creating a TCU account First time user logs in using their Active Directory identity (LDAP) Their account does not exist at this time Sign-on PeopleCode creates PS accounts in Portal and CS/HR Application messaging Component interfaces PS Field sync with ADUC fields Dynamic role assignments Code runs before login is complete Enrollment files for Pearson All course enrollments are pulled from PeopleSoft the week before classes begin. All student information sent from PeopleSoft to Pearson LearningStudio is student information stored and created in PeopleSoft. Accessing Pearson LearningStudio Students have two ways to access Pearson LearningStudio. 1. Through my.tcu.edu which authenticates directly with Pearson. 2. Through tcuglobal.edu a. Students use their TCU ID number to login b. First password set is mm/dd of their birthday (NO YEAR) c. Students will be required to change their password every 120 days and can change their password at any time in Pearson LearningStudio.

Active Directory password controls are established by Anixis. These password controls are as follows: Password requirements Passwords are set to expire every 120 days in both PeopleSoft and Pearson LearningStudio. A password must: 1. Be at least 7 characters long. 2. Contain at least one alpha character: A-z 3. Contain at least one numeric character: Contain at least one special character:! # $ ^ & * () {} [] - _ = + ` ~ ; ' "? /, <> or. 5. Not be too similar to your last password. 6. Not be too similar to your name. 7. Not be found in the dictionary (words 4 or less characters are acceptable) Pearson Password Partner login pages will include a password reset link that will require users to answer their security questions prior to reset. Once their identity is confirmed a time stamped reset link will be sent to their address which will allow them to create a new password. This link will be valid for 24 hours. 24/7 Tech Support will no longer give passwords to inquiring users. Upon request Pearson Tech Support will send a password reset link to the on record for the user s account in our system. Please note, if the user does not have access to the address on record the Tech Support team will direct the user back to their institution for assistance. Security prompt upon login: The user must input an address where they wish to receive the password rest link. Please note that this address will not overwrite the user s address used in their Pearson Learning Studio profile.

3 A user requesting to reset their password must first answer one of their security questions: Users requesting a password reset that correctly answer the security question will receive a time stamped reset link. This link will be valid for 24 hours:
