She has experience in clinical nursing practice, administration, research, education and health policy and is the author of numerous publications and invited presentations. She has been recognized as a distinguished alumna of the Faculty of Nursing at the U of T and received a Centennial Achievement Award from the Canadian Nurses Association in Dr. MacMillan was the first Provincial Chief Nursing Officer for the Ontario Ministry of Health & Long Term Care ( ) and Executive Director, Office of Nursing Services for First Nations and Inuit Health Branch of Health Canada ). Most recently, she was Dean, School of Health Sciences of Humber Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning in Toronto. She hold graduate faculty appointments at both the University of Prince Edward Island and the University of New Brunswick Schools fo Nursing. Her research interests are in patient safety, nursing human resources, nursing history and interprofessional collaboration.

She is the Director of Simulation Education for Lake Superior State University where she is a tenured faculty member. She has been instrumental in planning and developing the new simulation program and simulation center for LSSU. Specializing in curricular innovation with an emphasis on methodologies for promoting active learning, she is passionate about sharing this educational philosophy with other educators. SANDRA DEVLIN-COP, RN, MScN, CHE Program Coordinator Clinical Simulation & Nursing Professor Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning School of Health Sciences Sandra Devlin-Cop is a Registered Nurse who has worked in primarily in critical care, and nursing leadership. She completed her BScN in 1987 and her MScN in In addition, she received her CHE in She has worked throughout the provinces acute care hospitals, community agencies and with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

5 Sandra changed streams within nursing and began her academic career with the Faculty of Nursing, University of Toronto in 2003 as a lecturer, in addition to teaching in the graduate program and undergraduate program she was the Director of the Clinical Simulation Learning Centre. Sandra was responsible for the architectural design and development of the simulation centre. Sandra has further developed her expertise in clinical simulation and since joined Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning as the Program Coordinator for Clinical Simulation. She is also a professor with the School of Health Sciences. She has been instrumental as a team member on two large ministry funded research projects in clinical simulation.
