22 CONFIGURATION MANAGER APPLICATION CATALOG What is the Application Catalog? 1. Web-based Self-Service portal for users to subscribe to applications made available to them (Shopping Cart). Also allows requisitions handled by workflows. 2. The most appropriate DT is chosen based on the user s environment. 3. Subscriptions are static to a user-device pair. Freshly reevaluated each time. They don t roam! 4. XenApp DT apps are handled by the Citrix Connector plug-in and Citrix Receiver.

With the power of XenApp and Receiver, SCCM s reach is extended it can now deliver any Windows app to any user coming from any device. 2. Orchestrates the installation of AppV and MSI apps on XenApp Servers ensuring 24x7 uptime. ComTrade Management Pack for XenApp can be used for monitoring the topology, health, and performance data of XenApp. Supported versions of XenApp = 4.5, 5.0, Supported versions of SCOM = 2007 (R2), 2012 XenDesktop -SCCM 2012 preserves the unique identity (GUID) of cloned XD VDAs across reboots thus improving inventory tracking in virtual desktop environments. - SCCM 2012 mines useful XenDekstop VDA attributes and allows you to filter, organize and report on them. - PVS based vdisks can be also be auto-updated using SCCM 2012 (was added in PVS 6.1). In XD 5.6, Citrix and Microsoft engineering worked together and increased the number of XD VMs that can be managed by SCVMM from 500 to Citrix Labs is working on increasing that to ComTrade Management Pack for XenDesktop can be used for monitoring the topology, health, and performance data of XenDesktop. Supported versions of XenDesktop = 5.0, 5.0 SP1, 5.5.
