Each market is divided into sectors; for example: the banking sector, the oil & gas sector, and the telecommunications sector. Each sector has its own indices that indicate the sector status and symbols that are traded through the system. Symbols price can rise or fall or stay unchanged depending on the trades done. Orders are placed on symbols; so symbols can be bought or sold by placing buy or sell order through the system. The symbols that a client buys are placed in the client's portfolio. Accordingly, the client portfolio indicates the client current status and the trades the client can do. The market open time is broken up into time slots called trading sessions. Some trading sessions are busiest than others as more than one market is opened during it and the trading is more active. 51 Filtering Filters are added in most of the screens to filter the view by specific parameters. You can either display the filters or display the screen as a view only; without fields selection. To display the screen filters, click at the top right of the screen. The screen filters are displayed at the top of the view. Another way to access the filters is to click at the top left of the screen. A menu is displayed. Click Filter. The screen filters are displayed at the top of the view. Each screen has its own filters according to its view content. Filters will be discussed in details with its screens in th e following chapters. Selecting Columns Figure 23: Selecting View Columns You can select the columns to display in a view. To select specific columns in a view, click the column header. A list of all available columns is displayed. Select the check boxes corresponding to the columns to display. The selected columns are displayed in the view while the columns corresponding to the cleared check boxes are removed from the view. 51

Sorting Rows Figure 24: Sorting the View by Column Name You can sort the view rows by any of the columns fields. To sort the view by a specific column field, click that column header. The rows in the view are sorted accordingly. 52

Reordering Columns Figure 25: Reordering Columns You can switch the columns in the view to change their order. To move a column before or after another one, drag that column header to the location required using the dragand drop operation. The view is rearranged accordingly. Grouping You can restructure the view by creating a hierarchy using the columns in the view. Using the drag and drop operation, you can change the view to be a node tree structure. 53

To group the information displayed in the view by a certain field: Figure 26: Grouping by Column Name 1. Click at the top right of the view. An area below the filters is displayed where the message "Drag a column header here to group by that column" is written. 2. Drag the column header, under which information is required to be grouped, to that area. The rows in the view are categorized by that column field where the column field is the category and its related information is branched from it in each row. 3. To branch another category from that selected, drag another column header next to the previously selected one. 4. Repeat the same action to add more than one category. Each time, the information in the view is rearranged accordingly as categories, subcategories, and branches. 5. To collapse the related information of any category in the view, click the corresponding arrow. The category information is collapsed. 6. To expand the related information of any category in the view, click the corresponding arrow. The category information is displayed branched from it. 54

NOTE To remove any category from the node tree created, drag it from the area under the filters to the view again. Docking You can dock the screens so that the view contains more than one opened screen at the same time. This enables you monitor different markets trades at the same time, monitor symbols status while placing orders, and many other capabilities. To ensure a screen can be docked, right click the screen header. A menu is displayed. Select Dockable. Figure 27: Screens Docking To dock a screen, drag the screen header to any of the four side arrows displayed on the screen. If you drag the screen to the left arrow, the screen is placed in the left half of the view. If you drag the screen to the right arrow, the screen is placed in the right half of the view. 56 When the screen is dragged to the location of another screen, the arrows are displayed as. If you drag the screen to the left arrow, the screen is placed to the left of the already existing screen. If you drag the screen to the right arrow, the screen is placed to the right of the already existing screen. If you drag the screen to the top arrow, the screen is placed to the top of the already existing screen. If you drag the screen to the bottom arrow, the screen is placed to the bottom of the already existing screen. Tabbing Figure 28: Six Screens Docked in a View In case you are opening many screens in the view and you need to place more than one screen at the same location, you can then use the tabbing feature. Two tabs are displayed at the bottom ribbon. The tab of the current displayed screen on the top is in white while the other tab is highlighted when you point at it. When you click the other tab, its related screen is displayed on the top. You can repeat to tab other screens. A tab is added for each newly added screen. 57

To detach a screen from its overlapping location with other screens, double click its tab. The screen floats on the other screens in the view. Floating You can let a screen float on another so that it appears on top of all other opened screens. To let a screen float, right click the screen header. A menu is displayed. Select Floating. Figure 30: Floating Screen A floating screen can be resized by stretching the screen borders using the arrow You can also drag the screen to any location, even outside the view area borders, to be on top of menu bar for example. 58

Hiding/Auto Hiding Figure 31: Screens Auto Hiding You can auto hide a screen by clicking at the top right of the screen. The screen then is collapsed and a side tab, showing the screen name, is displayed instead. When you point at the side tab, the screen slides in the view.
