Approximately 108 stores were affected by the water. National Restoration received the call at 5:30 AM. At 8:30 AM, fifty-two (52) technicians arrived on the scene to extract water, set up drying equipment and remove excess water. Due to our efforts, the mall was open for business the same day. 5 Office Complexes & Industrial Buildings Case Study: Industrial Fire This loss was caused by a fire in the HVAC system located in the overhead of one of the labs. The smoke and soot traveled throughout the building affecting 95% of the offices and manufacturing areas. The loss occurred a few days before Christmas, leaving the company in a clinch to provide the amount of goods or merchandise that needed to be shipped before the end of the year. Containment was set around the room where the fire occurred. Air sweepers and negative pressure was employed to control the odor and soot from continuing to spread. Additional containments were set around critical areas throughout the facility. We began cleaning the offices, halls and labs to remove as much bulk soot and odor as possible. Once we had a handle on the building being cleaned, we created a production line of certified cleaners to handle, clean, repackage and ship the client s product. The client was able to maintain year-end goals and their facility was restored to its pre-loss condition.
