1 Job Description: Job Title: Reports to: IRONWOOD PLASTICS, INC Tool Crib Manager/Inventory Control Customer, Planning & Resource Team Leader Ironwood Plastics is an At Will employer. This position description is not a contract of employment; the employment relationship is terminable at either the will of the company or the employee. SUMMARY: Develop and maintain a tool crib for the proper storage and accountability of quality records and the supplies and equipment of Production, Maintenance, Tooling. ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and maintain computerized inventory system Ensure items are properly signed out and accounted for. Re-inventory and inspect returned items Implement and maintain system for off-shift access to items Place orders for stocked items and consumables Maintain gage calibration system Fully cross-trained for other duties in the CPR team, especially Inventory Control/Shipping Formatted: Bullets and Numbering REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS The Tool Crib Manager reports to and is fully accountable to the CPR Team Leader. During implementation, an assistant may be occasionally assigned. AUTHORITY The authority for this function is derived from Customer, Planning and Resource Team. The Tool Crib Manager has the authority to take any reasonable action necessary to carry out the duties and responsibilities of this position so long as such action does not deviate from established company policies and is consistent with sound business judgment. Further, the Tool Crib Manager must ensure accountability for supplies and equipment is maintain and will be expected to report employees for non-compliance, theft, or fraudulent actions. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High School Reading/Mathematics level Clear Penmanship Able to lift 60 pounds without strain (floor to waist) High frequency of climbing stairs Must qualify for Forklift driving license. Familiar with Computer Systems, especially MS-Windows and computerized inventory management. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, communicate information and respond to questions from all personnel. 2 COMPUTER SKILLS Able to use Word and Excel proficiently. Able to use . Understanding of file attachments, file compression, file viewers, printers, etc. Label production and implementation and use of bar code systems is likely. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. JUDGMENT AND DECISION MAKING Seeks guidance and direction as necessary for performance of duties. Demonstrates good judgment in investigating problems. RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHERS Primarily a service role for many functions in the operation, a positive attitude and willingness to serve others efficiently is required. Attention to detail and a disciplined approach to maintaining order is essential. PLANNING AND TIME UTILIZATION Makes the best use of time during the work day. Consistently shows the ability to recognize and deal with priorities, often with little supervision. The ability to quickly identify and adapt to changing priorities is key. INITIATIVE Performs all duties in an independent manner with little supervision. Recognizes and performs duties which need to be performed although not directly assigned and assists others as needed. ATTENDANCE AND RELIABILITY Provides proper notification and advance notice for non emergency absences. Reports to work on time; promptly returning from lunch and breaks, and not leaving work early. Work hours shall be from 7 AM to 4 PM with a one hour, unpaid lunch break from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. For the convenience of internal customers, regular hours must be maintained. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. WORK ENVIRONMENT Manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Area can experience significant temperature fluctuations and is often quite warm.
