5 About Your Membership As a member of Signature's Nationwide Auto Cub, you are entited to a services and benefits described in this handbook immediatey upon receipt of your membership card and/or membership materias. Benefits are avaiabe to you and a second househod member (if appicabe), iving at the same address with a vaid driver s icense. Membership benefits and dues are subject to change, upon membership renewa. Future dues wi be charged at the then appicabe rate. Membership is continuous and wi be automaticay renewed annuay with the membership fee being bied automaticay on your credit card or invoiced to your address, depending upon the payment method seected. Services and benefits of the Auto Cub are ony avaiabe in the U. S., Canada, and Puerto Rico, and for incidents that occur whie your membership is in force. Your membership begins on the day your membership kit is maied by the Auto Cub. A road and towing services are on a reimbursabe basis unti member dues have been paid. Remember, coverage is on the individua member not the vehice. You are covered in any car you drive as ong as the type of vehice is covered as expained within this handbook. Membership benefits do not cover non-members who drive your car. 5

6 Membership Cards Personaized membership ID card(s) for you and a secondary househod member, if appicabe, are incuded with your membership kit. You need your membership number to access roadside services and other benefits. Caim Poicy To maintain a high standard of service with fair and reasonabe dues for a members, roadside assistance is imited to three (3) paid caims per membership year. Memberships incuding associate members (three or more tota members) are imited to five (5) paid caims per membership year. These services incude jump start, fat tire change, fue deivery, winching (removing a stuck vehice), towing, ockout, ost key service, and caim reimbursement. Signature's Nationwide Auto Cub wi notify you if the imit is reached. If you exceed the annua caims imit and additiona roadside assistance is needed during a membership year, the Auto Cub wi continue to dispatch service on a cash ca basis for your disabed vehice. You must pay any resuting service charges at the time service is rendered, and these charges are not reimbursabe. The number of service caims for your membership wi be reset to zero upon each anniversary of your membership enroment. Canceation of Membership Signature's Nationwide Auto Cub wi not cance your membership without giving you prior written notice. You may cance at any time and receive a prorated refund of any unused membership dues cacuated from the canceation date. The canceation of a membership automaticay cances the membership of a other househod members. Faiure to repay the Auto Cub for any money advanced on your behaf is cause for canceation. The Auto Cub reserves the right to deduct any amount owed to Signature's Nationwide Auto Cub from any refund due to you upon canceation, where permitted by aw. The Auto Cub may eect to not renew your membership for any reason by providing written notice 60 days prior to renewa date. 6

7 The Auto Cub may terminate your membership for frauduent use of services with a minimum of 30 days written notice. How the Cub Works Roadside Assistance Signature's Nationwide Auto Cub provides emergency roadside assistance through a network of independent service providers authorized by the Auto Cub to perform road and towing service for Auto Cub members. They are ocated throughout the U. S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. Important: Since our authorized service providers are independent contractors and are not agents or empoyees of the Auto Cub, we assume no iabiity for any damage to a member s vehice resuting from the rendering of service or for persona items eft in the vehice. Any caims for damage to the property or person of a member must be fied against the servicing faciity. The Auto Cub cannot guarantee repairs, the hours of operation of repair faciities, the promptness of repairs, or provide more than one service ca per breakdown. It is the member s responsibiity to arrange for repairs with the service faciity. Types of Vehices Covered The Auto Cub offers fu road and towing services to vehices designed, icensed, and used for private on-road transportation, incuding passenger vehices, motorcyces, four-wheeed sport utiity vehices, ight trucks, and RVs with a carrying capacity of up to 2,000 pounds. Ony jump start and fue deivery services can be provided for dua-wheeed vehices and for recreationa vehices and pickup trucks with more than 2,000 pounds carrying capacity. Specia Equipment Roadside Assistance coverage incudes one normay equipped service vehice, one driver, and one service ca per disabement, up to a maximum cost of $80. Any costs for additiona personne or specia equipment are not covered, are at the member s expense, and are not reimbursabe. 7

8 Extreme Weather Roadside assistance is designed to render prompt and courteous service. Emergency situations where the motorist is stranded take priority over a disabement where the motorist is in the comfort of a home or office. We ask for your patience and understanding when weather or road conditions are extremey bad. If you are unabe to obtain service caing , then foow the procedures in the If We Cannot Provide Service section of How to Obtain Service. Roadside Assistance Incudes Towing The service provider wi tow your car if it cannot be started or driven without causing damage. Towing wi be imited to 5 mies from the point of disabement at no additiona charge. Any expenses incurred beyond the 5 mie imit wi be your responsibiity, payabe directy to the service provider at the time of service, and are not reimbursabe. Service is imited to one tow or service ca per disabement. Winching If your vehice is stuck in mud, sand, snow, or a ditch, and is accessibe from a normay traveed roadway, it wi be extricated or winched. Winching is imited to one operator/one truck for 30 minutes. Any additiona expenses wi be your responsibiity, payabe directy to the service provider at the time of service, and are not reimbursabe. Fue Deivery If you run out of gas, the service provider wi deiver an emergency suppy of gasoine/diese fue of 2 gaons (you must pay for fue) or tow your vehice to the nearest gasoine outet, subject to towing options. Fat Tire Change The service provider wi change a fat tire with your infated spare tire. If, for any reason, your spare is not usabe, the ug nuts cannot be removed, or your vehice has mutipe fat tires, towing wi be provided in accordance with the towing provisions. Costs for tire repair, instaing a new tire on the 8

9 whee, or a second service ca to return a tire to the disabed vehice are not covered. Jump Start The service provider wi provide a battery jump start or tow your vehice if your vehice won t start due to a dead or weak battery. Roadside Assistance Does Not Incude The purpose of roadside assistance is to provide service in common emergency situations. Coverage does not incude: Service if member is not with the disabed vehice. However, do not remain with the vehice if it is unsafe to do so. Towing or service whie at an auto repair shop or service station, to another ocation. Towing or service on roads not reguary maintained (incuding private property). Repeated service cas for a car in need of routine maintenance. More than one (1) tow per disabement. Service when a vehice is snowbound. Service providers wi not hoist, winch or shove vehices from unpowed areas, snow banks, snowbound driveways or curbside parking. Service wi not be rendered in areas not reguary traveed, such as vacant ots, beaches, off-road recreation areas, open fieds or other paces that woud be hazardous for service vehices to reach. Instaation or remova of snow tires and chains; dismounting, repairing or rotating tires. Vehice storage charges, cost of parts and instaation, products, materias, impounding and additiona abor reating to towing. Service for taxicabs, tractors, boats, traiers, recreationa vehices and trucks, dune buggies, vehices used for competition, stoen vehices, unicensed vehices, iegay parked cars or impounded vehices. 9

10 Service to vehices with expired safety inspection sticker, icense pate sticker, and/or emission sticker, where required by aw. Service to a vehice that is not in a safe condition to be towed. Transportation for the member to the vehice for service or from the vehice to another destination after service has been rendered. Charging a weak or dead battery. Deivery or repair of tires. Towing of vehice off a boat dock or marina. Service of any kind on vehices used for commercia purposes or using deaer tags. Towing at the direction of a aw enforcement officer reated to traffic obstruction, impoundment, abandonment, iega parking or other vioations of aw. Reimbursement for towing charges covered by automobie insurance. Towing of vehices for disposa (i.e., to junkyard). How to Obtain Service Ca when you need emergency roadside assistance in the U.S., Canada, or Puerto Rico, 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Provide the foowing information when you ca: Membership number. Member verification (name and address). Location of disabed vehice (town, state, street address, and/or cosest intersection). Description of disabed vehice (year, make, mode, coor). License pate number and state. Type of service needed (tow, fat tire, jump start, etc.). 10

11 We wi contact our service provider and dispatch service to you whie you are on the phone. We wi aso te you who wi be coming and the estimated time of arriva. When the Service Provider Arrives Be with your vehice. An unattended vehice cannot be serviced. If you cannot remain with the vehice for safety reasons, te the dispatch operator, and an attempt to provide service wi be made. Present your membership card and driver s icense to the service provider. After service is compete, verify the information on the ca sip provided by the service provider, and sign it (if appicabe). The Auto Cub wi pay the service faciity directy for any covered dispatch charges. You wi be responsibe for paying the service faciity directy for any charges not covered. Pease cance your request for service immediatey if it is no onger needed by caing us back at If We Cannot Provide Service An authorization number wi be provided. The authorization number is required to be eigibe for reimbursement of covered expenses. Ca any service faciity After service is competed, pay for the service and obtain a receipt from the provider. The receipt shoud incude the provider s name, address, teephone number, date and type of service rendered. Write your name, address, 13-digit authorization number and Auto Cub membership number on the origina receipt. 12 Keep a copy of the receipt for your records, as we cannot return origina documents due to auditing requirements. Caims submitted with incompete information or without the origina receipt wi be returned for resubmission. Your caim wi be reimbursed up to a maximum imit of $80 per disabement. * Caims postmarked more than 60 days after the date of the service wi not be honored. No time restrictions appy for residents of UT and WI. Reimbursement Poicy Signature's Nationwide Auto Cub reserves the right to adjust or deny a caim when the: Amount paid has exceeded the maximum imit. Service rendered is not during the term of active membership. Amount paid contains either parkway or to-way charges. Service rendered is not incuded under the Auto Cub coverage. Number of caims has exceeded the annua imit. State and oca taxes are not covered. Lockout Service Arrangements for ocksmith service wi be made if you ock your keys in the car or ose your keys. If service in your area is unavaiabe, we wi issue you an authorization number so that you can ca the nearest ocksmith and be reimbursed up to $100. Pease note: The cost of making repacement keys or of ock repair is not covered. Arrest Bond An Arrest Bond Certificate up to $1,000* is on the reverse side of your membership card, which, in most cases, can be used instead of your driver s icense or posting a cash bond if you commit an ordinary moving traffic vioation. 12

13 You are iabe for any oss due to bond forfeiture and you must immediatey reimburse the Auto Cub for the fu amount. Faiure to repay the Auto Cub any bond amount forfeited is cause for canceation. The Auto Cub reserves the right to deduct any amount owed to the Auto Cub from any refund due to you as a resut of canceation of your membership. Lega action wi be pursued where permitted by aw to recover any money advanced and not prompty repaid. State restrictions may appy.** The Arrest Bond Certificate does not cover arrest for driving under the infuence of acoho or narcotics, driving without a vaid driver s icense, feony vioations, appea bonds, appearance bonds, or arrests made pursuant to any warrant. * Benefit reimbursements are covered by contractua iabiity poicies issued to the Auto Cub. ** Not Accepted in CA, CO, KS, LA, NJ, TX, and WA. Limited to $160 singe and $500 mutipe in IL; $200 in AR, IA, ID, KY, MI, MS, NE, NM, OH, PA, WI: $300 in AL, AZ; and $500 in CT, MA, OK, WV. Lega Defense Reimbursement If you are charged with a traffic offense whie you are a member and wish to defend the charge in court, you wi be reimbursed for ega fees up to a maximum of $1,000* based on the schedue beow. ** This appies even if the auto invoved isn't your own, provided you had permission to drive it at the time of the vioation. You wi receive one reimbursement payment for a charges arising out of the same occurrence, based on the foowing schedue. In the case of an occurrence with mutipe vioations, you wi receive one payment based on the vioation paying the highest amount. Vioation Defense Appea Tota Reckess Driving (incuding $170 $150 $320 simiar offenses, such as negigent coision, speeding or driving under the infuence of acoho, drugs or other controed substances). 13

If you appea the decision, pease submit the caim within 60 days*** after your appea. Send a copy of the arrest citation, your tria docket number, and a paid receipt for the attorney's fee on the attorney etterhead. No benefits are payabe unti after you have first paid the ega defense expenses incurred and uness you have furnished the Auto Cub with the paid receipt. The receipt must contain the foowing information: Date and ocation of commission of aeged vioation. Date and ocation of the court action. Description of the charges. Box 5039 Caro Stream, IL The Auto Cub wi prepare and forward a documents to the insurer after certifying that the person making the caim is quaified to receive this benefit. The Auto Cub has the option to advance caim payment on behaf of the insurer and seek reimbursement. No Reimbursement Wi Be Made For Lega defense for parking tickets. Lega defense expenses incurred by a quaified member prior to the effective date of membership in the Auto Cub. You must be a member at the time of vioation. Lega defense expenses of other persons that were assumed by the quaified member. 14

15 Lega defense expenses arising out of a type of ega defense other than those isted in the schedue of fees. Lega defense expenses incurred as a resut of any vioation whie the automobie is being used in the commission of a crime other than those crimes specified in your state's Vehice Code in connection with the use or ownership of automobies. Lega defense covers ony vioations reated to your ega privieges to operate or own your vehice. * Benefit reimbursements are covered by contractua iabiity poicies issued to the Auto Cub. ** Benefit not avaiabe to residents of NY by aw. *** No time restrictions appy for residents of UT and WI. Lega Action against Uninsured Motorist If you or a secondary member are injured or the car you are driving is damaged by a motorist without iabiity insurance, the Auto Cub wi reimburse you up to $1,000* in attorney fees for ega action against the uninsured motorist.** How to Obtain Reimbursement Obtain an itemized, paid receipt for the attorney fees detaiing the ega action taken. Send a copy of the poice accident report, a poicy or insurance document showing that the other motorist did not have iabiity insurance, and the paid, itemized origina receipt (not a photocopy or an unpaid bi) for the attorney fees, within 60 days*** to: Signature's Nationwide Auto Cub Caims Department P. 16 New Car Warranty Enforcement The Signature's Nationwide Auto Cub wi reimburse you up to $1,000* for attorney fees if you take ega action to enforce a vaid, written new car warranty.** How to Obtain Reimbursement: Obtain an itemized, paid receipt for the attorney fees, which detais the ega action taken. Send copies of your vaid warranty, and a mechanic s repair estimate or paid itemized receipt, and origina itemized receipt for attorney fees within 60 days*** to: Signature's Nationwide Auto Cub Caims Department P. Ambuance Service Reimbursement Up to $75 wi be reimbursed for ambuance expenses you pay if you require an ambuance as the resut of a motor vehice accident and you were driving when the accident occurred.* Coverage does not incude reimbursement of ambuance service other than for accidents invoving motor vehices. How to Obtain Reimbursement: Obtain an itemized receipt from the ambuance service. Auto Theft Reward A reward wi be paid totaing $5,000 to a private citizen for providing information to the poice that eads to the arrest and conviction of anyone steaing your car. If more than one person quaifies to receive the reward, it wi be divided and apportioned equay. The tota reward wi not exceed $5,000. Auto-Hit and Run Reward A reward wi be paid totaing $5,000 to a private citizen for providing information that eads to the arrest and conviction of a hit-and-run driver causing the death of a member. A reward wi be paid totaing $1,000 for information eading to the arrest and conviction in non-fata hit-and-run accidents or for damage to a vehice owned by a member. How to Obtain Reward Submit copies of the foowing: Poice report stating that a car owned by a member was stoen or damaged by a hit-and-run driver or a member was kied or injured by a hit-and-run driver. The report must incude the name of the person who provided the information that ed to the arrest, and it must describe the nature of the accident. Fina court transcript showing that the thief or hit-and-run driver was convicted and the person caiming the reward provided the information eading to the conviction.
