17 1 CMU-Student costs are based upon a guaranteed undergraduate tuition plan called The CMU Promise. The CMU Promise, for new and transfer undergrad students, is one unchanging tuition rate for up to five years. In addition to fixing the cost of tuition, the CMU Promise eliminates all former mandatory fees.
