1 THE NEWS LETTER KV MANKHURD PRIMARY SECTION APRIL-SEPTEMBER-2012 Let s journey together Let s make a difference Striving towards HOLISTIC Child development
2 PATRON Mrs. A. PADMAVATHI PRINCIPAL, KV MANKHURD CHIEF EDITOR /DESIGNING MRS. LATHA DEVI.R HEADMISTRESS PANEL OF EDITORS: SMT. SARASWATHI SMT. REKHA NAIDU SMT.AMBIKA DEVI SMT. INDIRA KUMAR SMT.NEELAM SHARMA SPECIAL THANKS TO ALL THE STUDENTS AND STAFF OF PRIMARY SECTION, KV MANKHURD
3 SMT.A.PADMAVATHI PRINCIPAL PRINCIPAL S MESSAGE. Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you ll never cease to grow. The purpose of the education received by our children is to replace an empty mind with an open one. We motivate our teachers to provide an atmosphere for discovery, where students are encouraged to be creative and curious, instead of routinely loading the children with academic burden. It is necessary to empower the students to negotiate several issues that confront them, with the teacher being a facilitator. We often make the critical mistake of considering children, regardless of their age, class, ethnicity, or background, like a blank notebook that is yet to be written upon. Therefore, a good educational system is one that helps a child to nurture his/her talents and overcome shortcomings by providing appropriate, all-encompassing education. This enables the child to develop his/her personality and equips the child to face the challenges of life. At KV,MANKHURD, our approach to learning is child-centric, encouraging activitybased learning and inculcating a scientific temper and a spirit of free enquiry. As Albert Einstein said The important thing is not to stop questioning. I am confident that KV MANKHURD will always be a beacon of light, guiding the destiny of its students and radiating kindness and compassion as it soars high in its pursuit of academic excellence. Yet again, the primary section of KV MANKHURD has successfully prepared this chronological event-filled news letter SPECTRUM. I would like to acknowledge the fabulous work of the Editorial Board of SPECTRUM. I would like to thank and congratulate all the teachers of primary section for bringing out such a wonderful and well designed newsletter. Imagination is more important than knowledge. For while knowledge defines all we currently know and understand, imagination points to all we might yet discover and create.
4 From the Hm s desk: LATHA DEVI.R HEADMISTRESS Our Mission is to provide quality education to meet the needs of a diverse student population in an environment of care and acceptance. Our students will be successfully prepared in their role as thinking and responsible citizens who will find joy in learning. We aim to nurture our pupils into resilient, innovative and enterprising individuals with a sense of responsibility, integrity, loyalty, compassion and respect to face the challenges in life. We strongly believe that education is about nurturing the child as a wholesome human being. In pursuit of our mission, we embrace the shared values of Care and Concern, Graciousness, Honesty, Perseverance, respect and Self Discipline. Throughout the year, the school organizes a wide spectrum of activities ranging from arts, sport, community lunch, field trips etc to develop our students morally, intellectually, physically socially and aesthetically. With the continuous support of a team of dedicated and hardworking teachers, extremely supportive and dynamic Principal and very encouraging PTA, we will be able to continue to take on the challenges and achieve excellence in primary education. This edition of the SPECTRUM is the combined efforts of all the primary teachers of KV, Mankhurd who are striving for excellence in the field of primary education. We assure many more editions of SPECTRUMS and will constantly strive to improve. Thanks and kudos to all for the sincere efforts!!!!!!!
