2 462 Malin Road, Newtown Square, PA (p) (f) School Code: Delaw are County Mission & Foundation Accreditation Students & Faculty Facilities Curriculum The mission of Delaware County is to educate students who will serve God and impact the world through biblical thought and action. Founded in 1950, Delaware County is a parent-owned, independent school serving Pre-K through Grade 12 students. Students receive a distinctively Christian education, focused on college preparatory studies. More than 96% of graduates continue their academic studies at colleges and universities nationwide. Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools; Association of s International (ACSI). 2008/09 High School enrollment is 344. Students attend from five counties within a 25-mile radius of the school. The school values ethnic, socioeconomic, and denominational diversity: 22% are students of color, and students attend over 160 different churches. More than 60% of the high school faculty hold advanced degrees, and 16% hold doctorates. Delaware County is located on 26 acres on two campuses in Newtown Square, a western suburb of Philadelphia. The upper school campus includes newly renovated science and computer labs, an extensive library, two gymnasiums, a 600-seat auditorium, and multiple athletic fields. The curriculum is Christ-centered, showing evidence of God s creation in every aspect of study. Since almost all of our students attend college, class rank is not provided. High School Graduation Requirements Graduation requirements include 24 units of credit in major subjects: 4 credit: Bible, English, History, Mathematics 3 credit: Science, Mathematics (depending upon track, mathematics could garner higher credits) Under 3 credit: Electives ( ), World Languages (2.0), Health/Physical Education (1.3), and Fine Arts (.6) Middle School Curriculum in Grade 6 through Grade 8 includes Bible, reading, English, social studies, math, science, art, music, computer application, world languages, health, and physical education. Also available are intramural clubs, drama, and intramural/interscholastic sports. Elementary School Curriculum in Pre-K through Grade 5 emphasizes Bible, reading, language arts, and math. Also provided is instruction in social studies, science, world languages, computer instruction, art, music, and physical education. Discovery Center: Programs for Exceptional Students A team of educational therapists, along with resource rooms and enrichment classes, is available to assist students in their learning while revealing their Godgiven gifts.

Of 112 exams, 76% garnered a score of 3 or higher. The Class of 2008 yielded 3 AP Scholars, 3 AP Scholars with Honor, and 4 AP Scholars with Distinction. Students take the PSAT in 10th grade, the PSAT/NMSQT in 11th grade and SAT I/II in 11th and/ or 12th grade.
