Ms. Kalamadi, Deputy Partner, BananaIP Counsels (LL.M.) Ms. Kalamadi is a deputy partner at BananaIP Counsels where she heads the entertainment law practice of the firm. She has considerable experience of working with India s largest film studios and music record labels. Ms. Kalamadi holds a Masters in Intellectual Property Law and Technology law with specialization in Entertainment Law from National University of Singapore.

4 ABOUT GUJARAT NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), Gandhinagar is one of the premier national law universities in India. ABOUT GUJCOST The Gujarat Council for Science and Technology (GUJCOST) has been established under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat in 1986 to play a catalytic role in promoting the use of Science and Technology in the development process of the State. The Council is an autonomous body registered under the Societies Registration Act from 1st February, 2000 and working under department of Science & Technology. Gujarat Council on Science and Technology aims to act as a focal forum to inculcate scientific temper for attaining new heights in research and development for welfare of masses and to improve the quality of their life as well as to solve important issues of socio-economic development of the state by acting as organic link between science, technology and economy. GUJCOST is dedicated to educating young minds, assisting teachers and increasing public understanding of science and technology along with its research and development programmes. ABOUT THE GNLU-GUJCOST FELLOWSHIP With the aim and vision to incentivize innovative and cutting-edge academic research in the field of IPR Laws, and creating GNLU as a nodal agency for furthering better understanding and appreciation for IPR laws, the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat, established the Chair for IPR Excellence at Gujarat National Law University (GNLU). The Chair aims to conduct research, training and educational activities in various contemporary developments in IPR laws through various academic programmes, research activities and various training and outreach activities. This Certificate Course is being conducted under the aegis of the GNLU-GUJCOST Fellowship.

5 TEACHING, ASSESSMENT AND AWARD Teaching: Four hours of teaching per day for three days a week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
