1 Web-Based Resources Locating Treatment -- This is the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration s (SAMHSA) page for locating both public and private opiate addiction treatment programs across the country. -- SAMHSA s page for locating providers across the country who are qualified to provide treatment with Buprenorphine. -- This is the National Alliance of Advocates for Buprenorphine Treatment s (NAABT) page for locating providers across the country who are certified to provide treatment with Buprenorphine. (Please keep in mind that not all providers listed on SAMHSA s locator above are listed here and physicians are not required to list themselves on either treatment locator page). -- This is the Kentucky Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities (DBHDID) provider directory that you may use to locate various types of treatment in Kentucky such as crisis stabilization, psychiatric hospitals, DUI education providers, and licensed drug and alcohol treatment. Advocacy and Support -- The Legal Action Center is the only non-profit law and policy organization in the United States whose sole mission is to fight discrimination against people with histories of addiction, HIV/AIDS, or criminal records, and to advocate for sound public policies in these areas. This site provides current news, free publications, free webinars, and legal assistance resources. -- This is a no-charge hiring website that links employers with job seekers who may have a disability, be in recovery, have a prior criminal record, and older individuals. America in Recovery offers them a chance to find a job, to be productive again, and to build their self worth. -- The National Alliance of Advocates for Buprenorphine Treatment (NAABT) is a non-profit organization with the mission to educate the public about the disease of opioid addiction and the buprenorphine treatment option, to help reduce the stigma and discrimination associated with patients with addiction disorders, and serve as a channel connecting patients in need of treatment to qualified treatment providers. This site provides a treatment locator, online support forum, educational resources, and free publications.

2 -- The Here to Help Program was created by Reckitt-Benckiser and it provides free support during Suboxone treatment including telephone access to a Care Coach, online tools and resources, and supportive s. -- Faces & Voices of Recovery (FAVOR) is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works to change public perceptions of recovery, promote effective public policy in Washington, D.C. and in all 50 states, and demonstrate that recovery works. This site provides current news, personal stories, recovery resources, and a number of free publications. -- Suboxone Assisted Treatment is a subsidiary of Medical Assisted Treatment of America and focuses specifically on education and advocacy about buprenorphine. This site provides patient resources, personal stories, educational information about the medication and treatment process. -- The official site of the Methadone Anonymous (MA) community provides information on Methadone Anonymous meetings, patient resources, online support forums, methadone and pregnancy, and patients recovery stories. -- The National Alliance of Medication Assisted Recovery (NAMA) is an organization that brings together treatment professionals, patients, and the community to advocate for addressing stigma and improving access to quality MAT. This site provides information on how to become a certified advocate, current news, educational materials and publications, and resources for patients. -- The SAMHSA Partners for Recovery Initiative provides technical assistance and support to aid in improving the system of care for individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders. This website provides free resources and information on current projects in different states that are addressing focus areas such as workforce development and reducing stigma. The majority of these resources can either be downloaded for free or you may order a hard copy for no charge. -- Emerging Solutions in Pain (ESP) is an educational initiative developed to address some of today's most critical issues in pain management. These issues involve balancing fundamental rights of patients and clinicians with the challenge of risk containment for opioid misuse, abuse and addiction associated with medical prescribing and use of controlled substances. There are a number of toolkits, case studies, free screening tools and other resources. -- The Institute for Research, Education, and Training in Addictions (IRETA) is a 501 (c) (3) organization that works with national, state, and local partners to improve recognition, prevention, treatment, research and policy related to addiction and recovery. This site provides current news and research and a number of educational documents that can be downloaded for free. -- National Development and Research Institutes, Inc. (NDRI) is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt non-governmental agency. The primary mission of NDRI is to advance scientific knowledge in the areas of substance abuse, mental health, HIV/AIDS, and other related social and health concerns in order to contribute to the prevention and solution of these social problems. This site provides information on available trainings, current research projects, and related publications. -- The National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators (NADDI) is a non-profit organization that facilitates cooperation between law enforcement, healthcare professionals, state regulatory agencies and pharmaceutical manufacturers in the prevention and investigation of prescription drug diversion. This site provides information on current research and projects and other resources. -- This is the official site for Suboxone by Reckitt Benckiser. The site provides information on how the medication works, the treatment process, information for families, client stories, and links to other resources. -- The Center for Substance Abuse Treatment's Division of Pharmacologic Therapies (DPT) manages the day-to-day regulatory oversight activities necessary to implement new SAMHSA regulations (42 CFR Part 8) on the use of Opioid agonist medications (methadone, LAAM, and Buprenorphine) approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for addiction treatment. DPT provides a number of resources, free publications, and current news and events.

4 -- The American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence (AATOD) was founded in 1984 to enhance the quality of patient care in treatment programs by promoting the growth and development of comprehensive methadone treatment services throughout the United States. This site provides information about the AATOD conference held every 18 months, available literature and guidelines, and relevant current news. -- This website features extensive resources, such as: current and past issues of Addiction Treatment Forum newsletters, special research reports, regularly updated news, and much more. Although many treatment options and healthcare topics of concern are regularly discussed, a primary focus is on methadone maintenance for opioid-addiction treatment. -- The International Center for the Advancement of Addiction Treatment/ Baron Edmond de Rothschild Chemical Dependency Institute promotes among medical professionals, the humane treatment of people who are living with opioid addiction, by providing relevant medical, legal and policy information and advocating for change. -- The Physician Clinical Support System (PCSS) is a national program that is free and provides information and mentoring on utilizing methadone for treatment of opioid addiction and/or pain and utilizing buprenorphine for treatment of opioid addiction. Health care practitioners can connect with experts in the field, obtain a mentor, and also access a number of free resources.
